Visiting the Courthouse seems to be becoming a "kiss the ring" event.

"They have placed every nickel in this unprecedented gag on President Trump," he said. They are overriding his constitutional right to defend himself in political spheres from his harshest critics."

He said Congress has a constitutional responsibility to provide oversight on how Trump's various criminal trials are being carried out.

Johnson's appearance comes soon after he took heat from his right flank for refusing to agree to defund special counsel Jack Smith's investigation. It was one of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's demands shortly before she attempted to oust him as speaker."

The Victim Card. It's their favorite card.

"The US House was in session on Tuesday with vital business to complete but its speaker, Mike Johnson, was 200 miles north, attending another day in the criminal trial of Donald Trump, the former president and presumptive Republican presidential nominee charged over hush-money payments to an adult film star who claimed an affair.

"President Trump is innocent of these charges," Johnson told reporters outside court in Manhattan, where Trump faces the first 34 of 88 criminal counts."

"Supporters of former president Donald Trump's Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement criticized Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday for attending Trump's criminal hush money trial in New York.

Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a frequent foil for Johnson, took to X, formerly Twitter, to share her disapproval stating that Johnson should instead be defunding the Department of Justice's (DOJ) special counsel Jack Smith.

"The Speaker of the House should be defunding Jack Smith instead of watching Pres Trump be persecuted by a NY corrupt DA in a politically weaponized judge's courtroom. Pathetic.," Greene wrote on X."

.

"Meanwhile, former Republican representative Liz Cheney criticized Johnson for different reasons as she took aim at the Speaker, known for his strong religious beliefs, for attending the trial.

"Have to admit I'm surprised that Speaker Johnson wants to be in the 'I cheated on my wife with a porn star' club. I guess he's not that concerned with teaching morality to our young people after all," Cheney wrote on X."

From what I've seen of the Republicans kissing fmr Pres Trump's ring at the courthouse, they seem to have a secondary purpose.

They are not subject to the gag order that has been placed upon fmr Pres Trump. And those un-gagged surrogates looks to be taking advantage of that.

After hearing on the local news what they've been saying, I'd almost proffer that fmr Pres trump is writing a script for them to say.

Don't all senators and representatives try to interfere in court cases and try to circumvent gag orders?

No?

Must just be a Trumpy thing.

Maga Mike says, "If you wanna know Mike Johnson just read a Bible." Especially the section on cheating on your wife with porn stars. It's all in there in the new Trumpy Bible.

I'm starting to think that Trump is going to screw over all those VP wannabe's who entered the contest at Mar-a-Lago to vamp and swoon over Trump.

Thinking outside the box, it wouldn't surprise me if the choice turns out to be Speaker Johnson.

I loved the 'matching suit and tie' photo op, outside the steps of the criminal court.
That, was just precious. All those sweating sycophants and bootlickers all in one spot,
looking like so many jostling church kids all lining up to get their photos taken.

Again. Precious.

That and sh*tler is using them to attack the witnesses and daughter of the judge that he can't because of the gag order.

Sh*tler was caught editing Mikey Johnsons script which is a violation of the gag order.

Democrats have been saying no one is at the courthouse to support Trump and then when a bunch show up they throw a temper tantrum. That's you Corky.

Johnson was having trouble fundraising, which is his highest responsibility. Then he backed the Ukraine package. That secured donations from the left. Now, he's pandering for donations from the GOP. Johnson is a shrewd dude.

When they show up as Holy Moses Speaker of the House proclaiming Trump's complete innocence and the Deep State's culpability.... as an effort to rig the Jury.... while back at home in Louisiana their Party is enabling child rapists... it deserves to be pointed out to their simpleton supporters.

Who don't find the fact that their Cult Leader formed a Conspiracy of Fake Elector and an angry mob attacking the Capitol in an effort to overturn an Election enough of a reason to stop kissing his ass.

You left out that the angry mob killed 1400 police officers and burned down the Capital building. You're losing it Corky.

Had Trump simply conceded the election, just like every other losing POTUS candidate in history, Ashli Babbitt would still be alive.

Swallow it.

Thanks for letting us know what Trump would have had to have done for you to even consider not supporting him.

Great job!

You mistake us pointing and laughing as a "temper tantrum".

We are marveling at the trumpet puppets lack of dignity. Trumpy don't need to fool around on his wife with porn stars because now he has a bunch of men who would gladly bend the knee to him and suck him off right there in public.

DONNERBOY

For those among them who are attorneys . . .

I wonder if Judge Merchan has the authority to haul these gutless wonders into his courtroom and remind them that they are officers of the court and could be fined, censored or even lose their law license for admittedly claiming that they were there to deliberately and with malice of forethought circumvent the lawful gag order imposed on the defendant?

All the Magats, and more than
half the GOP in general were
complicit on 1/6, and are still
complicit in protecting the
Ravenous ----- Gibbon that is Trump...

Since Trump's big beef is that there aren't any rioters outside trying to storm the courthouse, he's called in these Republican Representatives and Senators to do the dog whistle for him.

It doesn't seem to be working.
