How many years do we Americans have to keep hearing threats about a "Civil War" from the GOP and their far-right base during POTUS elections? How many more years? And when the GOP lost the 2020 election, these dead-enders did try to violently overturn the results with their putative putsch on 6 Jan 2021 (with the alleged assistance of a Fifth Column within Capitol Hill).

In sharp contrast, the late President of South Africa Nelson Mandela had to suffer appalling black and white casualties from 1990 to 1994 before transforming apartheid South Africa into a multi-racial democracy. President Mandela had to deal hear and deal about Civil War for only four brutal years. Four years.
