Some immigrants are already fluent in English. Actually, in their native language AND English. Do they have to do their 10 years of penance at starvation wages, too, including the wife and children?

I live in an immigrant-heavy area. Some folksspeak English, some a bit, some not at all. My Spanish is heavy on nouns, weak with verbs. We work it out. Keep the goddamn Republicans and their xenophobic immigrant bashing where it belongs: up Trump's --------.

I also live in an area where English isn't their first language, and I get along fine with my spattering of Spanish and French. What I don't know I use pantomime, and we all end up laughing. Mostly me at myself. The important thing is the respect we show each other and treat each other as equal members of the human race.

Duh.

Because they have to hardworking to keep their minimum wage job (if they get fired good luck getting another) and they obviously have to be very resourceful to survive on starvation wages.
