Max Burns: All of that criticism from former Trump loyalists has other MAGA culture warriors weaving conspiracy theories to explain away Trump's weakness.

"It's bad enough that Trump's lieutenants are all at each other's throats with less than three months to go until Election Day.

What's worse is that the apparent dissolution of MAGA's fragile alliances has come at the same time that Harris and Democrats are unifying in a way not seen in decades.

It isn't just that the MAGA movement isn't projecting a united front in the final stretch of a critical campaign " it's that the ego-driven personalities on the far-right make any such unity functionally impossible."

.

"The flurry of activity among Trump's battling surrogates stands in sharp contrast to the devil-may-care attitude down at Mar-a-Lago, where Trump has spent much of August instead of actually campaigning.

Trump now contents himself with griping about the advisers he hired and the campaign managers he selected, and recently brought back disgraced political consultant Corey Lewandowski to serve as a sort of General of the Armies for his warring campaign team.

Instead of focusing on the presidential race, Trump's senior staff are now busy updating their resumes ahead of an expected mass-firing.

That will leave Trump with plenty of free time this week to watch Harris and Democrats kick off a convention that will dominate the news cycle and push him even further from the headlines.

So much for The Trump Show. "

So, curious, I was wondering how many is a drove? Couldn't find an answer, but generally a group driven towards something not away. Not trying to be pedantic, but your title made me curious Corky.
Certainly, can't come soon enough in my view.

A drove is a large number of people doing or undergoing the same thing

Seems most applicable

What's still disturbing is, what took so long!

@#3 ... Stevie Wonder at the DNC! ...

Here's why Connecticut used Stevie Wonder's 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered' during DNC roll call
www.ctinsider.com

... This year, each state was given the floor temporarily at the Democratic National Convention to cast their votes, accompanied by a "walk-up song." The Nutmeg State was represented by Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, and Delivered (I'm Yours)." ...

However, Connecticut did not choose its own song, said Connecticut Democrats spokesperson Patty McQueen. Rather, the song was chosen by the Democratic National Committee.

"It's about knowing, believing that Connecticut is going to deliver for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz," she said of the song....

Wonder is from Michigan, although he did receive an honorary doctorate of music from Yale University in 2017.

This isn't the first time Wonder's song has made an appearance at the DNC. He performed "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours)" on the final night of the 2008 DNC during former President Barack Obama's first campaign. He later walked out to the song to give his victory speech in 2012. Wonder performed at this year's DNC on Wednesday. ...

Some in Florida's The Villages show enthusiasm for Harris
www.newsnationnow.com

...

Florida's The Villages has played a role in past presidential elections

It's a conservative stronghold, but some now say they'll vote for Harris

Voter: 'My main concern is that my children continue to live in a free country'

The Florida community of The Villages has played a significant role in past presidential elections. Though it's a conservative stronghold home to retirees and supporters of former President Donald Trump, some residents now say they'll vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in November.

NewsNation correspondent Xavier Walton visited The Villages to find out how residents of the sprawling central Florida facility located in Sumter, Marion and Lake counties plan to vote.
Which candidate fits residents' needs?

Kim Perrone, a nine-year resident of The Villages, grew up as a Republican and later became an independent, but now plans to vote Democratic.

"My main concern is that my children continue to live in a free country, in a democracy," Perrone said. "With Project 25 ... possibly being used as a plan for this country under Trump, it's just horrific. ... It's a blueprint for lots of people losing their rights -- women, diverse cultures, diverse ways of life -- and that's just wrong. I think that's the biggest thing to worry about right now." ...

Ya knowwwwww... for all the cl0wn knit pickers about "droves"... keep in mind that in 2016, 2020 and probably 2024 the living former Republicl0wn preznits... voted Democrat... against Trumpanzee... I mean that is very specific... and from on high...

Then the thing about 5 full election cycles... 20 years!... two decades.... where a former preznit from their party wasn't present at the RNC!

meanwhile back at the DNC all living and healthy enough to be there were there...

We aren't hiding anything... and we are consistent... stable geniuses even

This didn't happen... overnight for the cl0wns... its been a slow slimey creep...culminating in a convicted felon sent out to mow us down... Like we're gonna let that happen... from an old man... or you armchair warriors

Curious trend for Rasmussen reports.

Wiki says...

The Washington Post referred to Rasmussen as "a driving force in American politics" and "an articulate and frequent guest on Fox News and other outlets, where his nominally nonpartisan data is often cited to support Republican talking points."[46] In the Wall Street Journal, political journalist John Fund called him "America's insurgent pollster".

Non-prtisan my @$$...

#13 | Posted by RightisTrite

If they had something better they'd have to admit he/she was better than Trump---

1) Perverse pride won't allow that

2) Any MAGA who said such a thing takes their lives into their hands.

#14 Lamp, if Rasmussen is saying that, you can translate that into
about a 4 point lead for Harris now.

MAGAT is over.

We won't get off so lucky.

They're already spinning excuses and rationales for lost elections being "stolen."

Why do you think crowd size is such a big thing for them? It justifies their belief that they're the majority.

And they won't accept otherwise. A small but violent group can cause a ton of damage.

I'm starting to see the first hints on social media of a new "explanation" for Trump's upcoming loss to Harris. "Trump is a Democrat plant to destroy the Republican party. Good friends with the Clintons and Epstein," said some rando on Instagram. So ... even Trump isn't MAGA. He's just another RINO. lol

George Will brought up something similar.

"If Donald Trump was "A Democratic mole placed to disrupt things," how would his behavior be any different?"
