Rasmussen Shared Polling Data with Trump Campaign

On Thursday, American Muckrakers posted about emails it received detailing how the conservative-leaning Rasmussen Reports, which claims to be nonpartisan, shared polling results with Trump advisers and campaign officials like Dan Scavino, Susie Wiles, and John McLaughlin.

We'll continue to include Rasmussen polls in our averages. They're real polls. But this sort of explicit coordination with a campaign, coupled with ambiguity about funding sources, means that we're going to label Rasmussen as an intrinsically partisan (R) pollster going forward.

It won't make much difference given that Rasmussen already has a strong R-leaning house effect (see below) but still this is the right precedent to set per our standards.

Yeah labeling Rasmussen as "intrinsically partisan (R)" by Mr Silver is significant.

At this point, I'd proffer that the (R) means: following the dicta of the head of the MAGA cult.

Silver is bought and paid for by Peter Thiel, who has a tremendous amount of money riding on Dotard in this election. Thiel bought the Ohio Senate seat for JV, and he is also responsible for JV being Combover Quisling's running mate, so ANYTHING out of Silver's mouth or keyboard is 100% suspect, as he obviously has a side.
