Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) told colleagues at a closed-door GOP conference meeting Tuesday that she might get into a "physical altercation" if forced to share a bathroom with trans women, according to sources in the room.

I can't find the quote, but a Repub said a couple days ago that they would definitely consider the ban "since the trans issue won the GOP the election," or words to that effect.

And now the Dems line up to let the GOP rope them into the issue, again.

McBride had every right to run for Congress and the folks in that district had every right to vote for Sarah. However, I don't think this conflict is helping the Dems in any way, shape, or form.

I've said the below before and I'll copy/paste it again:

Dems really need to up their game on throwing people under the bus if they want to regain and retain power. Maybe look to Bill Clinton for some pointers.

Translation: Don't fight for injustice because it's inconvenient. That's what I got from reading your post.

desperate to making something out of nothing..

You are correct. Speaker Johnson is doing exactly that.

Gotta pick your battles. That's how Bill Clinton was able to get elected and re-elected. To appoint a number of SCOTUS justices that protected against injustice for over a decade.

Hillary supported trans rights. So did Kamala. Did you turn out to vote for her? Or did you stay at home or vote third party along with 8 million of your nearest and dearest because those ladies weren't perfect enough for you.

Because I guarantee plenty of people turned out to vote for Trump because he opposed those rights. So why should Dems take a hit for a cause that costs them the office?

But you don't have to take me word for it: "The "progressive" position of the Democratic Party - originally championed by FDR as a practical program for working Americans - was distorted by minority far-left extremist views [...] The Republican ad on this issue saying "she is for they/them and Trump is for you" was devastatingly effective"

Forcing women to share their private spaces with males never made any sense. The backlash is growing stronger.

How many toilets in public restrooms are not private?

No one wants to share a toilet stall with you.

Smiley Mike, that creepy little man, has probably had bathroom cams in every bathroom for month's with a wall of monitors in his office. It's a Christian thang don't ya know...

"he is banning transgender individuals from accessing bathrooms on the House side of the Capitol complex"

The cruelty is the point. And the fact it's aimed at one particular new Congress member is particularly cruel.

Transgenders deserve to live without being bullied or attacked. But so do all other people yet the left and others regularly bully and attack others that are not in sync as leftists.

I tend to perhaps look at these issues a little differently than most. As explained by my then future wife, a gay man is attracted by the same qualities that would attract a woman - so don't freak out when they approach you. Listen politely and decline the advance.

In this case, maybe straight women and straight men are freaking out because there is some quality in her that they admire. If that is the case, please take a breath and step back and at least try to be a good example of your professed beliefs.

Just more proof American society is run by a bunch of whiny babies. I'm not for integrating bathrooms in very common areas where children are frequent. However, when it comes to places like Congressional buildings, grown adults arguing over bathroom use is ignorant. Have any of them use whatever bathroom they want. They are all supposed to be adults. The risks in a place like that, such as fear of rape or something, is so freaking low it's almost nonexistent. Not saying it can't happen, but a place like that compared to a place like a public park is night and day.

I do too. I don't know what to think about that.

The only issue I have with #25 is that I don't see any threat, nor have I ever heard of one, of a transgender against a child in a bathroom. I do think that there's so many morons that are scared to shht over anything different than what they think is "acceptable" that bathrooms should be the way I see them here (in Florida of all places) which is "men's" "women's" and "companion" or "family" which is usually a single bathroom, or I also see two bathrooms (used to be men and women) but one occupant with a lock. That's what I see a lot of these days.

Most businesses don't want to get into policing bathroom laws, ferchrissakes.

I also see two bathrooms (used to be men and women) but one occupant with a lock.

I've been dealing with a local tire shop for over 40 years. Their waiting room has always had a single washroom, one person at a time, door with a lock. Been there forever. Last year, they put some kind of "unisex washroom" sign on the door and an amazing number of people completely lost their ---- over it like it was the end of the world.

That is exactly the reality of this idiocy. Same thing here. Thanks for bringing that example up!

t was the motivation for many voters; even voting against their own interests, as the next year will prove, they voted for hatred and discrimination against minorities and especially women. Just wait, the misogyny has just started; abortion was their first target; now they will go after birth control. it's the battle of the insecure men against the confident women who they see as their oppressors taking supervisory and management positions they felt men were entitled to.
