More from the cited article ...

... The phrase "unknown disease" primarily means that the disease has not yet been identified.

In previous cases, the cases are linked to a known disease, but a lack of available testing leads to lack of certainty.

For example, there was a separate report of an "unknown disease" in December of last year in Congo that was later attributed to illnesses from malaria and respiratory illnesses.

The latest numbers from the WHO's Africa Region show that there are 431 cases linked to the outbreak and 53 deaths since January. ...

So hey! I've got a brilliant idea! Let's pull out of the WHO! And let's fire researchers at the Centers for Disease Control! So many great ideas flowing from the Trump/Musk administration.

@#7 ... FDA cancels meeting to select flu strains for next season's shots ...

Yeah, that's been one of my main concerns regarding Sec Kennedy leading the health of the Country.

Does he have any education in that in that medical area.

Or is he just parroting conspiracy theories because they have been profitable for him?

One reason for my concern, my health insurance provider says that they cover vaccines recommended by the CDC.

So, will the CDC now stop recommending vaccines because of Sec Kennedy's belief in conspiracy theories?

@#9 ... The million dollar question, just the indigenous or EVERYONE? ...

I'd say the million-dollar question is more along the lines of ...

How do we prevent this disease, which is spreading in humans, from spreading to everyone, and eradicate it?
