House and Senate republicans are actually calling out the Trump administration for their plans to withdraw from NATO's Supreme Allied Command Europe - the primary command that oversees support for Ukraine, and the first step in abandoning NATO allies.

"For the United States to give up the role of supreme allied commander of Nato would be seen in Europe as a significant signal of walking away from the alliance," retired Adm James Stavridis, who served in the role and as head of European Command from 2009 to 2013, told NBC.

"It would be a political mistake of epic proportion, and once we give it up, they are not going to give it back ... This would be seen, correctly, as probably the first step toward leaving the alliance altogether."

Hey, perhaps were Europe to start laundering money through Trump Properties, they could be the New Russia!

Already a done deal.

That ship sailed when Vance gave Zelensky the finger.

Why would Europe even want us in NATO at this point? At the least, anything we learn about NATO defenses Trump will pass along to Putin. And that's not even getting into Trump actively sabotaging NATO nations (including our own).

"Why would Europe even want us in NATO at this point?"

Correct. It is no longer in Europe's best interest to share intelligence with the United States. Any sensitive information will be funneled to Russia.

The UK, France, Canada, and Germany will be the leaders of the free world thanks to Trumpf. This week the new Canadian PM flew off to Europe first, not Washington. The world is moving on without us. Trumpf will do a lot more damage to national security, international relations, the economy, the American people, and the environment until the 2026 midterm elections (unless the more sane GOP congressmen start fighting back now).

And the right wing is suddenly just fine with being an also-ran, the equivalent of an incel on the world stage. What's the term you guys like to use? NPC?

Yeah, right.

The Republicans on Capital look to be firmly sucking upon Pres trump's most ample derriere.

Once they stop doing that, Mr Musk will then give his PAC money to primary a person who will not be so questioning of Pres Trump's policies.

At this point Trump could shoot a general on Fifth Avenue and not lose the vote of a single MAGA politician ...

I'll believe it when I see it.

Short of a military coup, there is no going back.

Get used to the new norm.

Threaten?? ~ LOL ~ Who's kidding whom from these GOP nothingburgers.

I'm still waiting for another Barry Goldwater moment: "Mr. President, you've lost support of the Senate."

Impeachment is imminent!

Fat chance these castrated Republicans eunuchs will go that far.

First they'd have to grow some juevos, and I don't see that happening anytime soon. Let's ask Susan Collins if she thinks the Dotard has learned his lesson yet.

International security? Pfffft. What a waste of money. We have a lot of needy billionaires here in America who need their tax cuts as Trump promised.
