So the Marines are now allowed to make civil arrests?

Predicted.

This next Saturday may be bad.

Trump is looking for excuses.

At some point in the near term, we will arrive at the point where everyone, even the most fanatic of Trump ball-washers, will be forced to admit by the nature of his behavior that he is a dictator.

Well, millions of us will be out on the 14th to assemble and petition our government for a redress of our grievances...but one does wonder if it will resemble what the Czar of Russia did...attack the people for protesting.

Why wouldn't he? What's the worst that can happen? A strongly worded "rebuke" from a court?

Thanks Trumpers. Your bigotry blinded you to the fact that Trump is exactly what you've always claimed to be against.

All their puling over the years is turning out to be little more than selfish garbage.

Like everything else, they are fine with it happening to "those people" and, predictably, they'll be shocked and pissed when it happens to them.

I'm not sure what the rest of y'all's experiences have been, but amongst the people I know, the Ven diagram of staunch anti-government, don't tread on me-types and '---- yeah! it's about time the President did this!' types is two perfectly overlapping circles.

Things marines are not trained in

1. Identifying a crime
2. Arrest procedures
3. Federal vs. State crime/jurisdiction
4. Arrestee's rights
5. Handcuffing
6. Handling Evidence

Yeah, pretty much all "arrests" facilitated by marines will immediately be thrown out

Marines, except for the faux one that posts here, are trained in helping people to 'find out'. So I encourage everyone here to 'FA' this weekend as much as possible. The friendly marines will happily help you to to 'find out'.

Americans are definitely finding out.

Exactly as we had warned.

Trumpy and the maga maroons including especially the mentally fudged up one that posts here are itching for civilian casualties.

Americans across the country are rallying against the tyrant on No Kings day. .

Whats he gonna do? Send marines into every city that resists?

Do it. Time to get down with the Sickness.

The FAFO is definitely in phase two.

If you break the law, you get arrested. I know liberals are trying to undo that across the entire country but it hasn't been undone yet. When liberals get their way and everyone is free to break any law they want, then maybe you can whine about it. But, for now, people breaking laws are what's called a "criminal"...and "criminals" are "arrested" because they aren't following laws. Now, some laws are lax because they are trivial, like jaywalking. However, laws that require people to not destroy property, not harm other people, etc. are considered some of the most critical laws, thus "arresting" "criminals" is necessary to ensure social civility.

I hate to go into Law 101 but liberals always seem to need the education; I even have to put important terms in quotes to make it easier to understand. The First Amendment specifically states "peacefully" so if you are not protesting "peacefully", then you are breaking the law making you a "criminal" and thus an "arrest" is warranted. Now, just like above, liberals are hard at work trying to get rid of "peacefully" from the First Amendment and, when they are successful, then these "arrests" will be against the law, thus making the government "criminals". But, until then, everyone is expected to follow the law. And, just to add in a little more elementary knowledge that liberals seem to ignore or just don't know, because you have a different opinion than the law does not mean you can break the law. Because of our wonderful governing documents, you have the ability to influence law changes so, if you go through the proper processes, you can help mold the law to your opinion. Until then, consider following the law or you will rightfully be "arrested".

The military gets involved to defuse the situation, not to make arrests, so your point isn't really relevant here.. They hand them over to the local authorities unless the protestors attack the military personnel, which is then a Federal crime and thus the military CAN arrest them.

Like you actually have a clue about the law.

See you in court --------.

The military is there inflame the situation not diffuse it.

The LAPD has already diffused the crisis Trumpy had desperately tried to create.

This will not end well.

As a supporter of the twice impeached POTUS, who is a 34 time convicted felon, a fraudster, a sexual predator, and who pardoned hundreds of violent Jan 6th rioters, you can --ck right off with that bullcrap. You have no grounds for debate on this.

These Marines will be making arrests.

But I love your defensiveness on the subject, very much like you know Trump is doing something wrong.

A distinction without a difference.

This is an illegal use of the US military to police civilians on US soil.

Something that would have made righties threaten civil war if Obama or Biden had done it.

Authorized is the wrong term. Commanded to is probably the correct phrasing. This doesn't end well for the Country.

The military got involved because the tiny-dicked coward wants a photo op.

So go ---- yourself, Clambake.
