Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, October 19, 2025

House Speaker Mike Johnson on Sunday doubled down on his criticisms of millions of protesters who joined Saturday's "No Kings" rallies across the nation, decrying the widely peaceful demonstrations as evidence of "a rise of Marxism in the Democratic Party."

So proud to kick off today's inspiring, record setting No Kings rally in DC.

Twice the size of the first No Kings DC rally.

Nationally, the early numbers suggest today was the BIGGEST DAY OF PEACEFUL PROTEST IN OUR NATION'S HISTORY.

LFG. We have a democracy to save.[image or embed]

I don't know a single Marxist. Are there any in USA ... or the world ... at this point?

The Evangelical pedofascists are rewatching too much Peaky Blinders. I challenge MAGA to define Marxism, and name a single Marxist in the USA.

If it were Marxist, they've of been waving banners and flags with hyper-propagandized images of their leader's face while calling for retribution/persecution against any and every political opposition.

Oh, wait, that does sound familiar, but it aint the 'No Kings' people...

Johnson's eating his liver because there were no riots yesterday.

He wanted those riots and he needed them.

There WERE provocations from the Right yesterday, which the Better Angels of America resisted.

I wonder now if the Speaker himself isn't in the Epstein Files?

Only if Epstein had young boys available.

They all have some sort of kompromat they're ducking. Johnson may not be in the files, but he knows/is beholden to/needs to cover for most of the people who are in the files. Once the Evangelical pedofascists have declared their fealty, they're clearly willing to defend that hill to the death. I'm actually impressed with MTG, at this point, as she seems to have cleanly broken free from the pedos. She's still a POS, but she's not going to be on the wrong side of this issue...

I attended yesterday specifically because of the vile rhetoric coming from this Regime.

My sign said "ALWAYS ANTIFA".

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. I suggest everyone read up on the French Revolution, regardless of their political affiliations.

He's lucky to not be a woman, or they would have peacefully dragged him out of his car.

Representative "Spankbank" AKA "Pornhub" Johnson and his fans, such as Mr. Fishmarket, have no idea by how much they have missed the proverbial boat when they cast their lot with Lord Dampnut. Sucks to be them, I believe.

Fishmaster, you are not clever enough to be a fascist, or you'd recognize ALL of the salient features in that mirror in front of which you fawn and pose. The stockings and garter belt don't help.

"Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology defined by a dictatorial leader, the forcible suppression of opposition, and the regimentation of society and the economy.

It elevates the nation and often race above the individual, with a core mythos centered on national rebirth from a perceived state of decadence

Dictatorial leadership: A charismatic, autocratic leader heads the government, and their authority is considered supreme and unquestionable.

Ultranationalism: The ideology promotes an extreme form of nationalism that often includes a belief in the inherent superiority of the nation and its people. A sense of collective identity is paramount, and individual interests are subordinate to the nation's perceived good.

Militarism: Fascism glorifies military power and warfare as a means of national rejuvenation and expansion.

Forcible suppression of opposition: Fascist regimes systematically eliminate or silence political rivals and dissent through intimidation, violence, and state-controlled terror.

Scapegoating and outgroup demonization: A unifying cause is created by identifying and demonizing enemies, such as ethnic minorities, immigrants, or political opponents, and blaming them for the nation's problems.

Control of media and propaganda: The regime controls mass media to spread propaganda, manufacture consent, and suppress alternative ideas. Anti-intellectualism and disdain for free press are common.

Hierarchy and rejection of egalitarianism: Fascist ideology promotes a "natural" social hierarchy and rejects liberal democratic values, individual rights, equality, and pluralism.

Alliance with corporate power: Fascist regimes often cooperate with powerful business interests and suppress organized labor to achieve economic goals, while maintaining the appearance of a market economy.

Traditionalism and gender roles: The ideology champions conservative and traditional values, often reinforcing strict gender roles.

Rampant cronyism and corruption: The system is often run by a network of loyal associates who use government power to protect themselves, and loyalty is valued over competence."

I sense a call-out for the tumbrels to roll again, to the town square, where Madame Guillotine awaits! Let's party like it's 1789! Vive la terror!

Hilarious how Trumpers WHINE about being called Fascists, then run away from the definition.
