The trial of Sean C. Dunn began on Monday with jury selection. He was charged with assaulting a CBP agent by throwing a Subway hero sandwich at his Kevlar-protected chest in protest. Federal prosecutors had failed to persuade a grand jury to approve a felony indictment against him over the incident, so Mr. Dunn was charged with misdemeanor assault. After hurling the hoagie at the thug, Mr. Dunn fled and a vigorous madcap foot pursuit ensued in the streets of Washington DC. When caught, the DOJ employee confessed: "I did it. I threw a sandwich." USAG Pam Bondi then ruthlessly and gleefully fired Mr. Dunn from the agency. Judge Carl J. Nichols, a Dummkopf Trumpf appointee, is presiding over the misdemeanor case. Link: Arrest Report. An arrest is merely an accusation. Mr. Dunn is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. |

We all hope the CBP officer wasn't too badly hurt by the Subway sandwich bouncing off the armor protecting his chest. Unknown is what type of delicious Subway sandwich was hurled at the CBP officer and whether the hoagie was entered into as evidence as Exhibit A. By coincidence, Franz Kafka's The Trial was posthumously published exactly 100 years ago. ![]() Comments
