Arkansas Republican Arrested on Domestic Battery Charges

State Rep. Austin McCollum, a four-term Republican lawmaker who appears to be the only official candidate in an upcoming election for Benton County judge, is in jail today on charges of domestic battery.

State Rep. Austin McCollum (R) is every mother's dream for her daughter.

FYI: His base salary as an Arkansas State Representative is $45,244 per annum. The Benton County judge in Arkansas is paid an annual salary of $170,047. And Austin McCollum was running in an uncontested field.

What does the Republican Party-- the so-called party of "law and order" -- do about this malpariso and the election now?
