I feel we are headed for serious economic trouble. Deeply in debt corrupt govt. Populace deeply in debt. Look around and see infrastructure in decline. There is no longer an air of efficiency and competence to our country. We've had a fool fill our country with non American people that are either a clandestine enemy or totally incompatible value wise or lack all basic education. As the incompetent mayor of NYC said they will destroy us.

Why are you ignoring the infrastructure bill that was passed not long ago? One that is being touted by ------- Republicans in congress who voted against it?

Did the AI recommend these layoffs?

Wonder how big of a raise douchebag CEO is gonna get.

You know we are hearing from the government that everything is great, inflation is lowering, employment is up, the economy is coming back, etc. Yet all the majors seem to be laying off people. Something isn't right with the two different lines of thought. If it's doing fine, why the layoffs. Unless of course the majors are seeing a down turn in the future and are preparing for it now.

To me it's sort of unsettling that these majors are buckling down as it appears they are seeing hard times ahead and need to shed expenses in the line of wages to prepare.

#4 That dbag CEO is a huge democrat (along with the rest of Silicon Valley), haven't you learned that Big Business is now in bed with the Democrat Party? The Democrats abandoned the working class under Obama.

"The Democrats abandoned the working class under Obama."

What year, exactly, did that happen?

I ask because I was a Union leader when Obama was President, and this is news to me.

Dems passed an infrastructure upgrade bill. Why didn't republicans do that?

Why was tax cuts for the rich the only thing republicans passed, and where was your concern about the debt when they did?

The air of competence ended when trump hired omorosa and his kids to run the government.

You're both wrong, Republicans were never about the working class stiffs. Democrat party shifted its focus under Reagan from working class, to illegal immigration.

Unions historically oppose illegal immigration. Which is another reason for the erosion of unions, neither party truly wants them.

Sure the HEADs of the unions back Democrats because thats where the money flows. But ask the day to day working man, nah he knows he's being hung out to dry by both parties.

Which is why Trump was so popular. Its odd how Lumpers can't grasp this simple fact and adjust.

Nah, most of these layoffs were either pie in the sky or dead end products (smart speakers etc).

Everyone was offered to seek another position internally within a year, and those that didn't were let go.

??

I checked out his Cabinet, I am not seeing what you're promoting.

What I see is mostly people moving up in position. There is a BankCEO for Treasury.

So enlighten me with the names of this "FILLED" White House

It actually happened under Clinton - when he signed NAFTA into law. Go ask an auto worker, they can give you that clue you're so desperately looking for.

Then I'm sure you're a big supporter of the IRA bill and the people who passed it, since it brings auto manufacturing back to the USA, right?

So you really don't know what it does for America.

And no, I haven't read it. And I won't be the one running around telling people what it does or doesn't do.

Seems like that's exactly what you're doing.

I know what's in the bill without reading it because I gather news from journalists with integrity. It's their job to keep track of government actions and summarize it for citizens, who are too busy to read legislation.

You get your news from liars who told you the 2020 election was stolen, so your knowledge of everything, including the IRA bill, is likely full of falsehoods.

The Democrats abandoned the working class under Obama.

That's ripe from a sycophant who worships at the altar of the party of tax cuts for the .01%.

The next target of the GOP is social security and medicare...two staples of the lifeline for the working class.

----- Scott has already proposed requiring these programs be "re-authorized" every five years which would make is very easy to kill by one person fillibustering it in the senate or a GOP house just not bring the bill to floor for a vote.

McConnell after passing Trumps tax scam that created $2 trillion in deficits didn't even wait a year to come out and say the reason why the nation is going broke is social security and medicare.

They're already out there saying that the nation cannot survive with these programs intact.

This has been their goal with massive tax cuts creating huge deficits for the past 50 years.

So f**k all the way off -----------.

That's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out for him.
