... Giuliani, who also previously served as a key lawyer for former President Donald Trump, is currently facing down a penalty of $148 million after he was found liable in court for defaming two Georgia election workers, the mother-daughter pair Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.

In the wake of the 2020 election, as the former mayor became a significant proponent of Trump's false claims about the widespread election fraud, Giuliani spread baseless conspiracy theories that the pair had committed election fraud while counting ballots in Fulton County, Georgia. ...

Giuliani Repeatedly Sought Financial Lifeline From Trump (August 2023)
www.nytimes.com

... Rudolph W. Giuliani is running out of money and looking to collect from a longtime client who has yet to pay: former President Donald J. Trump.

To recover the millions of dollars he believes he is owed for his efforts to keep Mr. Trump in power, Mr. Giuliani first deferred to his lawyer, who pressed anyone in Mr. Trump's circle who would listen.

When that fizzled out, Mr. Giuliani and his lawyer made personal appeals to the former president over a two-hour dinner in April at his Mar-a-Lago estate and in a private meeting at his golf club in West Palm Beach.

When those entreaties largely failed as well, Mr. Giuliani's son, Andrew, who has an independent relationship with the former president, visited Mr. Trump at his club in New Jersey this month, with what people briefed on the meeting said was the hope of getting his father's huge legal bills covered. ...

By Lewzer? Now that's funny. Lewzer wouldn't help him even if he had money, which he obviously does not.

"Mr. Giuliani and his lawyer made personal appeals to the former president"

So now Rudy's too stupid to know Trump has all the liquidity of the next homeless guy he sees?

How the mighty have fallen.

Rudy wanted to be archduke under a man who still wants to be king.

Both of them were and are ready to ruin the lives of millions of Americans to achieve that.

The bigger they are the harder they fall.

So many lives in Trumpy's orbit are being destroyed.

But hey. It sure was fun pwning those Libs while they could!

Hope it was worth it to lose everything.

That could be said for some (many? most? nearly all?) of those who chose to snuggle up to fmr Pres trump over the years.

Rudy can go pound sand. Trump's not going to give him any money. Right now, he's busy trying to scrape up a half billion dollars from any source he can think of (including the GOP and his PACs) to keep his own head above water.

As for Giuliani, that "America's Mayor" thing ran its course years ago, right alongside Trump's Art of the Deal businessman reputation.

They're both loser who deserve each other.

Yes, America's Mayor has made huge mistakes in his defense of Trump, but I for one hold out a tiny bit of hope he comes to his senses, the way Pence has, and will stop endorsing Trump and start endorsing democracy again.

You have a big heart.

But I do agree that Rudy would fare better with an intervention for alcoholism. I'd feel bad if they found him dead in a cheap motel someplace. A wasted life, so to speak.

After 9-11 and sober, he could have done some great things. But he chose another path.

Rudys meteoric rise and fall is going to make a great movie.

Debtors in a bankruptcy case must file a plan for reorganization, or a plan for liquidation of assets, typically within a stated period (usually 120 days). Rudy can certainly delay the filing of his plan, but he cannot put it off forever. Bankruptcy courts and bankruptcy judges do not like getting into what often are business disputes, and also do not like slowing the wheels of justice when court judgments are due. In this case, a great portion of the creditors claims are unsecured, so creditors have limited say. Even if Rudy is forced to sell both of his homes, it appears the proceeds (if the properties are held free and clear) will be less than 10% of what he owes.

The end of this case is many months down the road. I predict that eventually Rudy will have to sell nearly everything he has, and his final days will be lived in a very modest lifestyle. New Yorkers will shake their heads when they see Rudy walking the streets, and his relationship with Der Dotard will leave Rudy with only bitter memories...

Rudy Colludy and Pillow Man Mike can become an Odd Couple and rent an apartment together.

If they have the credit scores to qualify, that is. And that isn't likely.

How many thousands have pissed away their freedom for those criminals?

How many lost (and continue) to lose their lives from COVID by listen to their bull****?

How many have given over their savings to these grifting con artists?

They'd wouldn't even bother pissing on these suckers if they were on fire.

Rudy is old, tired, broke, sick, abandoned and facing ruination.

The golden brick road he thought would lead to fame and fortune turned out to be fools gold.

Without intervention, Rudy's options are looking predictable.
