Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

President Biden delivered a flurry of attacks on former President Donald J. Trump during a Tuesday speech. He laid out his vision for a fairer tax code, including raising rates on the wealthy and corporations and using the money to expand the economy and help working families. Then Biden added, "If Trump's stock in his Truth Social company drops any lower, he might do better under my tax plan than his."

As political jokes go, it's one that managed to remind the public that (a) Trump's latest business venture is following the same failing trajectory as so many of his other business ventures; (b) Trump's tax plan is designed to benefit those with the most wealth; and (c) Biden's tax plan is rooted in the idea that millionaires and billionaires can afford to pay more, while leaving rates intact for those making under $400,000.

That's a lot of checked boxes in 21 words.

Yes it is. But even more importantly, how will the seeming implosion of Truth Social's stock effect would-be Trump voters if he leaves yet another bankrupt company in his personal wake? And not only that, but what about all the MAGAts determined to purchase the stock even with its demise looming on the near horizon? How many of them will fell duped and conned as they lose money intended for retirements and such while the major investors - like Trump - walk away from the smoldering carnage with billions?

Only another 250% to go!

It's fun watching the MAGA stock holders freak out.

I wonder where the buyers are coming from?

Trump supporters I'd guess based on all the reporting in recent days of them pledging to continue supporting TS until the election. Many individual investors believe that they're simply using TS stock to give more money to DJT than campaign donation laws allow. Some are in it on the delusion that it will be profitable, but there are many more who appear to know exactly what they're doing by purchasing TS stock - Sticking it to Trump detractors.

"While the principal beneficiaries of Trump's economic agenda were those at the top, it's working families who've benefited most from the incumbent Democrat's plans."

So since Biden hasn't done anything regarding tax policy how has anyone benefited or not? Shouldn't "who've benefited" be who will benefit?
This is obviously written for Dems who just don't know better and will read it and say "see! Trump bad."

"Up 22%?"

Is that the best the artificial insemination from Saudi Arabia could do?

LOL and whoop-de-do. Time for Joe Lunchpail to sell high.

#7 Dark Brandon was discussing his tax policy for his coming second term. Don't forget that much of Dotard's tax giveaway to the rich, the ONLY policy achievement of his disastrous term in office, expires next year. Hopefully, Dems will give those of us in blue states the ability to deduct state taxes again. I'm sick of carrying the woman-hating s#!thole states with my tax dollars.

The words 'Trump' and 'policy' are typically not uttered in the same sentence, the two having nothing to do with each other. Rants, insults and cheap threats are not the foundation for a national policy, but evidence of mental disorder...

"The words 'Trump' and 'policy' are typically not uttered in the same sentence ... "

Was thinking pretty much the same thing.

When asked about his policies for fighting inflation Trumpy's answers either

1. Drill baby drill

Or.

2. Start another trade war with China.

While his actual "policies" will revolve around REVENGE & RETRIBUTION.

DONNERBOY

One of Trump's plans is to make the FCC part of the Executive branch.

That's our first clue about who ranks high on the Revenge and Retribution list.
