Trump is not going to allow elections next year, and so the motivation to bail these farmers out is zilch.

Republican farmers want a taxpayer-funded transfer of wealth? But that's socialism. Of course we should help our fellow man when they are down, because that's what we humans do. But each Republican farmer receiving free money must first frame this certificate prominently in their home before cashing my check:

Farmers nothing.
Depending how big of a hit losing China will be to ranchers. They're gonna be next on the list.
Then there are the hundred thousand plus people Elon Musk has laid off and continues to fire.
America runs largely on a consumer economy.
What's going to happen when people can't afford to buy anything anymore?

Last I looked 70% of US GDP is consumer spending.
Republicans don't mind if consumers have less to spend on goods that cost more, thanks to tariffs.
Republicans don't realize tariffs on American-made goods will cost us American-made jobs.
Those Republicans who do realize, they simply don't care.
