Farmers across the U.S. are bracing for financial ruin from president Donald Trump's tariffs unless taxpayers bail them out.

Trump is not going to allow elections next year, and so the motivation to bail these farmers out is zilch.

Republican farmers want a taxpayer-funded transfer of wealth? But that's socialism. Of course we should help our fellow man when they are down, because that's what we humans do. But each Republican farmer receiving free money must first frame this certificate prominently in their home before cashing my check:

Farmers nothing.

Depending how big of a hit losing China will be to ranchers. They're gonna be next on the list.

Then there are the hundred thousand plus people Elon Musk has laid off and continues to fire.

America runs largely on a consumer economy.

What's going to happen when people can't afford to buy anything anymore?

Last I looked 70% of US GDP is consumer spending.

Republicans don't mind if consumers have less to spend on goods that cost more, thanks to tariffs.

Republicans don't realize tariffs on American-made goods will cost us American-made jobs.

Those Republicans who do realize, they simply don't care.

It is ot good for America that these farmers get their newest bailout. It would only strengthen their irrational and dangerous support for Trump.

They need to bleed the way that Trump is making all of us bleed.

Many farmers (definitely including agribusiness) have become accustomed to bailouts.
Sort of like some kind of a right that comes with the job.
Gotta love it when the moronic blob in the WH spittle-yammers about China hammering US farmers.
