Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, April 18, 2025

Nearly half of Americans are skipping traditional Easter festivities this year because of the high prices of eggs. But President Donald Trump doesn't seem concerned. During a press conference Friday, Trump appeared visibly frustrated when questioned by a reporter about egg prices, launching into a strange tirade that concluded with the surprising claim that egg prices are actually "getting too low."

Jabba the Hutt attempting the Jedi mind trick?

Fortunately it only works on the weak-minded.

MAGAts everywhere will celebrate their cheap eggs, and be confused when they lack the funds to pay for them at the register.

Tapping into Trump's delusions, which happens every time his pride takes a punch.

Speaking of eggs, his basket is missing a few dozen.

Certainly explains why his doj is investigating the continued rise in egg prices.

Nobody here shops for eggs? Mine dropeed from $8.50 a dozen to About $4 and it's still dropping. All RFK had to do was stop the culling and fix up the hatcheries a little.

For God's sake, get out a little. Or at least read some non-fake news.

That article read like old Soviet propaganda.

Glad I spent some time in Budapest last year.
Hungary was already on the downward spiral into even deeper fascism.
Now its becoming a real -------- nation.

They've been through it with the nazis and the communists. Had a brief fling with being a republic. Now they're giving fascism a try.

Are you taking up Trump's torch on gaslighting?

I stopped by the egg section at Costco just to check today. Completely sold out. Worker said they run out of eggs every day by noon on the days they actually have any in stock. And there's a limit on how many you can buy.

RFK hasn't made any changes when it comes to chickens and egg production.
USDA is still doing the same thing it was doing under Biden.
Rat still hasn't posted a link backing up what he says.
Eggs are still not available unless you get there early when they put the delivery out on the shelves (here, in Central Florida, anyways).
Whole Foods is even worse - you're damn lucky if you can find eggs at their stores, which is odd because they were the reliable source (organic/pasture/local) and the prices stayed stable throughout, with minor exceptions, until Trump. I'm not kidding about that, either. Just an odd coincidence I'm sure.

They were $6.50 a dozen at Safeway north of Seattle today. Not sure how that compares to recent prices, because I've been buying ours at Costco, but I have never seen egs for more than 50 cents apiece in my lifetime. That's real good what ya did there Dotard.

And if they stopped culling their flocks with bird flu, then we can expect eggs to be a thing of the past in a month of so. Birdflu is nearly 100% fatal in laying hens, and it's transported from farm to farm by other birds. RatTurd is an ---- moron.

Eggs are a problem that Trump can't/won't solve.

He doesn't have the talent and it's just too much work.

Gulags are so much more fun.

Such an elegant, graceful swing. Small wonder he has to cheat on his own course.

"no matter which way you look at it."

I get your point, but if you look at it the Stock Market way, it's pretty obvious who is really doing it.

#20 The fact that he can actually hit the ball with that abortion of a swing is amazing to me even if be regularly slices or shanks it. Thank gawd for caddies who can somehow find his ball on the edge of the fairway when it clearly went OB or deep into the rough. He has cheated at golf probably ever since he first picked up a club. Writer Rick Reilly documented Dotard's shockingly brazen cheating in 2019 in his book "Commander in Cheat." If there was no cheating I have no doubt that Dark Brandon, who was a close to scratch golfer in bis prime, would kick Fat Smellvis' ass all over the course.
