This is how you kill California's economy.

Best of luck to this nation. Because billionaires aren't coming to the rescue. They're too content making money off the global market, and should America turn into a third world shhthole nation, they can easily move to another country.

No one is coming to our rescue. We will have to rescue ourselves.

Mid terms are coming. April -Nov of 2026.

Seems like a long time away because of Trumpy's shock and awe.

It's not. And we WILL make it. (Well most of us)

And this is a bad thing so obviously it's Biden's fault (tm)

Only the good things that happen are because of Trumpy. (Still waiting)

It seems like it. But it's not really. It will be here before you know it.

From wiki:

All 435 voting seats in the United States House of Representatives will be up for election; additionally, elections will be held to select the delegate for the District of Columbia as well as the delegates from 4 of the 5 U.S. territories, excluding Puerto Rico. There are 13 Democratic incumbents in districts Donald Trump won, while only 3 Republican incumbents are in seats won by Harris.[1] Ohio will have new congressional districts this cycle.

And the budget fight has just begun.

And at the rate DHS is spending it will run out of funds before July.

Maybe this time Americans will remember that elections have consequences.

California will abide.

And it's unfortunate that Americans apparently do need to feel the pain of the consequences of their decisions in order for them to finally do the right thing.

"Americans can always be trusted to do the right thing, once all other possibilities have been exhausted."

Why was the post WWII era so great? Mostly free trade openened up markets so even poor countries could prosper. Trump wants to undermine 80 years of progress and mostly overall world peace and side with Russia which is an anomaly today. Most nations aren't invading other nations like barbarians; but unfortunately Putin still is and he helped Trump out financially back in the 90's so today the United States foreign policy is dominated by Trump's obligations to Putin and everyone knows it! This nation should never be ruled by anyone who owes allegiance to any other foreign leader but we are tolerating exactly that with Trump.

But much too hard to read the article.

On Friday morning, West Coast port officials told CNN about a startling sight: Not a single cargo vessel had left China with goods for the two major West Coast ports in the past 12 hours. That hasn't happened since the pandemic.

Six days ago, 41 vessels were scheduled to depart China for the San Pedro Bay Complex, which encompasses both the Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach in California. On Friday, it was zero.

Democrats need to open up a history book. Post-WW2 prospered because the industrial base of Europe was destroyed along with the damage Japan did in Asia. As a result, the only country producing manufactured good was the US. Asia solely produced commodities like food, rubber, and oil. We are not in that world anymore. Now, the US produces commodities and FIRE is the biggest sector of our economy.

That's true enough. And steel and most other stuff.

More Democrat fearmongering that will not actually happen. All this shows is how utterly reliant the US has become on importing cheap Chinese crap - the good news is that none of that cheap Chinese crap is actually needed here. We just have to train liberals out of their self-sabotaging ways of buying Chinese and then complaining that there no good jobs here.

Yep - and Canada was the same with the exception that Canada is even in a worse position as you have killed off your tech industry over the last 20 years - which is why Canada's GDP has never really grown in the last 15 years. Mexico North benefited from US offshoring to the cheaper Canadian labor market - 20% of Canadian GDP is trade with the USA. Canada will not truly feel the impacts of its any anti-innovation policies paired with the massive importation of Indian and Chinese workers.
