So, actually enforcing the law and deporting violent illegal alien, wife beating gang members results in a massive drop in crime. Who would have thought that?
At this point - every person with a brain knows that Democrats allowed the crime rate to spike intentionally because a population that is terrified of being a victim of violent crime is easier to control.

I don't think anyone is arguing that a drop in the murder rate is a bad thing. I don't know if doing it by implementing an authoritarian police state is a good way to do it. Maybe we could try developing a just, fair society with decent education and social services and see if that works out.

We tried that - it didn't work. When police were replaced with social workers and crime was ignored in deep blue -------- cities, it exploded. We clearly have a solution now - of course, the Democrats never wanted a solution to this problem so they will just keep complaining. Illegal border crossings down 99.9%, murder rate down 21%+. Promises made / Promises Kept.

I 100% believe them because they are true. The 21% is an understatement because --------- like NYC refuse to report their numbers but the rest is all detailed in the linked article.
As for 99.9% drop in illegals:

I see nowhere in your article about increased social services, universal day care and health care, increased focus on education, etc. Just because the police are babies and refuse to do their job in a professional and competent manner that's not a substitution for a just society. I said nothing in my original statement about defunding the police.

Maybe you missed this part of the article:
"This week, the Seattle City Council passed a $7.4 billion budget which boasts an emphasis on "public safety," but cuts funding to the Seattle Police Department by eliminating 80 of the 200 officer positions that the city previously committed to hiring. The budget also allocates $4 million towards public school mental health counselors, $500 million for affordable housing to be dispersed over two years, but cuts Seattle Police Department funding once again."

I admit I only skimmed, I did miss that. Still a drop in the bucket. It would require a massive shift in public desire. I never said anything about police budgets. Any reasonable civilization recognizes the need for police, but those that act in a professional and competent manner. Once again, I am not saying your stats aren't good news, but the manner in which they are obtained is not the one I desire. You're turning future muggers into future prisoners, I prefer to turn them into future doctors. It can be done but the will is not there, especially among the present wealthy.
