Walmart has warned that it plans to raise prices on some products in the wake of Donald Trump's tariffs. "We will do our best to keep our prices as low as possible but given the magnitude of the tariffs, even at the reduced levels announced this week, we aren't able to absorb all the pressure given the reality of narrow retail margins," Walmart CEO Doug McMillon will say on an earnings call with analysts Thursday, according to prepared remarks reported by CNN.

If there is a single market commercial entity in USA most responsible for Chinese economic success and the outsourcing of America it is WALMART.

Sam Walton was originally always about buying and selling made in USA. The surviving Walton family changed that buy America to buy China. Hopefully tariffs will reverse this destructive Walmart etc commercial policy of buying from cheapest source instead of long term strategy of buying USA.

"Hopefully tariffs will reverse this destructive Walmart etc commercial policy of buying from cheapest source instead of long term strategy of buying USA."

Nixon opened trade with China roughly fifty years ago.

How long do you think it will take to undo something that's been built up over fifty years?

If you think Trump can undo that in just four years with tariffs, tariffs he's already flip flopped on, well, you're a dummy.

You need a real strategy. Trump is not a strategic thinker.

They'll pass along the tariffs plus a markup on the tariffs because ---- you.

At least Trump is trying to create some potential long term benefits to equalize our massive growing trade deficit and transfer of jobs that both parties have spent decades doing nothing to correct or reverse.

You fall for the same con every time, Robson.
You are why Trump loves the poorly educated.
