"By contrast, the typical American worker made just over $50,000 in 2023. Oxfam found that it would take a staggering 726,000 years for 10 US workers at median earnings to make that much money.

The findings put an exclamation point on the nation's wealth inequality and come as Republicans debate a costly bill that nonpartisan experts say will make the rich even richer and deeply cut nearly $1 trillion from key safety net programs.

"Billionaire wealth has increased astronomically while so many ordinary people struggle to make ends meet," Rebecca Riddell, senior policy lead for economic and racial justice at Oxfam America, said in the report.

Elon Musk alone got $186 billion richer"

The MAGAs are in favor of work requirements for medicaid so how about work requirements on the tax cuts. Make every billionaire do a billion dollars worth of work.

Yeah.

As I have said here, many times previously, I am in the NYC media area, so I have access to the NYC news and media.

I have known of Pres Trump (then, citizen Trump) since the late 1980's, early 1990's. I knew of his character (imo, lack thereof).

In the summer of 2016, I even posted a comment here to the effect of, ~I understand your concerns, but Donald Trump?~

OK, at this point into Pres Trump's second term, please allow me to ask ...

What, and I ask sincerely, so please be specific, has Pres Trump done for the working class of America?

I live in low income HUD subsidized low income housing, in a city where rents have skyrocketed. To be poor in America today is to pretty much lose one's status as citizen and adopt a new status, citizen refugee.

I feel this one so so much. I live in a nursing home and feel forgotten about. It sucks.
