Intercepted call of Iranian officials downplays damage of U.S. attack
www.msn.com

... The United States obtained intercepted communication between senior Iranian officials discussing this month's military strikes on Iran's nuclear program and remarking that the attack was less devastating than they had expected, said four people familiar with the classified intelligence circulating within the U.S. government.

The communication, intended to be private, included Iranian government officials speculating as to why the strikes directed by President Donald Trump were not as destructive and extensive as they anticipated, these people said. Like some others, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive intelligence.

The intercepted signals intelligence is the latest preliminary information offering a more complicated picture than the one conveyed by the president, who has said the operation "completely and totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear program. ...

Yeah, for Pres Trump to say, hours after the bombing raid, that Iran's nuclear program had been obliterated, was pure and utter nonsense, based upon nothing more than his own ego.

And for Sec of Defense Hegseth to repeat that nonsense, is even more nonsensical.

But Sec Hegseth seems to have an excuse for sucking up to Pres Trump, his position seems to be more than a bit precarious.

But why did Pres Trump lie to Americans?

Guess Trump's gonna need to drop some nukes on Iran.

"Why did Pres Trump lie to Americans?

For the same reason he always lies. A certain percentage of his followers out here in voter-land will believe, and even argue the point, on his behalf. Those are the same people who also believe that the media is out to "get" Trump and who are tone-deaf to any facts to the contrary.

Or it could be Trump was self-aggrandizing to get the attention of the Nobel committee. As dumb as that sounds, keep in mind that Obama's Nobel Peace prize has always been a burr under Trump's saddle.

Absolutely.

Trump's mind is a mental minefield. Who knows what's really going on in there.

Who knows what's really going on in there.

Good point, but he would bomb everyone on the planet to get that Peace Prize.

Trump's voters don't care about facts, they want violence and chaos and conflict, which is entertaining to them.

That's IT! The UN MUST leave New York City! Now! Unless they agree with me, the UN has no place in this world. Let them go somewhere else. Americans do NOT want peace!

"It's shameful that The Washington Post is helping people commit felonies by publishing out-of-context leaks," said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. "The notion that unnamed Iranian officials know what happened under hundreds of feet of rubble is nonsense. Their nuclear weapons program is over."

LMAO!
These Trump/MAGA folks are such utter morons.
"We know better than them Iranians that live there and are on site! Anyone that says otherwise are criminals! How dare you cast doubt on the All Powerful Orange Wiz!"

Do you presume to criticize the great Orange Oz-blob? You ungrateful creatures!

Now there's a promise that couldn't possibly blow up in our faces!

Humiliates? It's hilarious to watch partisan dummies squirm to find ways to make things look bad. When the UN says anything that leans right, liberals demonize them to no end. But, when the UN supports the murder of 1200 people by Palestine, liberals cheer because liberals want all Jews to die as they have been protesting about for the last year.

The UN admits the damage is severe if you actually read more than just liberal outlets (and maybe dive in to a few international outlets that are not CNN or BBC). What they didn't admit to is that in order for Iran to continue enrichment, their program now needs significant help from external parties. Their ability to produce their own uranium has been extremely limited now and won't be back to what it was for years, but if someone gives them uranium then they will be able to start enriching it within a few months. Critical thinking and researching OUTSIDE of media outlets that subscribe to your ideology is something many of you have no ability to do.

Liberal minds are just too easy to manipulate and the UN is against the US, so they know how easy it is to get liberals on their side. That's nothing new. The real question today is how do we stop their allies from giving them uranium.

The entire Trump admin is comprised of ill-tempered children that aren't particularly bright and are vengeful.

Trump humiliates himself (and the United States) daily.
He's quadrupled down on this claim. At least quadrupled.

Now I'm not saying Iran's nuclear program isn't set back, perhaps nearly destroyed, but I am saying there's no evidence for the claim that it's obliterated. Provide some evidence! Instead all the Trump admin does is pound the desk and demand people accept their word, and when that doesn't happen they cry and whine and threaten people.

Let's just change the headline to what the left wants it to say: "There's a chance that the US military failed in it's mission and Iran could still make a nuclear bomb." But no, the intel they are releying on is from Iran officials who say "could have", "might be", etc.
Can't blame the left, after getting ----- slapped last week from Trump, almost as bad as the election, they need some good news even if they need to make it up.

The mush-brained------------- hasn't a clue about where Iran's enriched uranium is located.

And they said, We want enrichment. Enrichment doesn't mean like air conditioning and it doesn't mean to jack up your car. Enrichment is a bad word.
