All of this kabuki theater with Trumpf's two special envoys, the "threats," submarines deploying closer to Russia et etc etc was to give Trumpf the excuse to personally meet one-on-one with his handler, Vladimir Putin. Things can't be easy for Trumpf as the FBI, Ghislaine Maxwell, the Kremlin, and most likely the Mossad have damaging kompramat (sexual and financial) on him.

And which country will let the ICC-indicted war criminal Vladimir Putin in for the imminent summit?

Dotard's fat ass is going to get gaped by Putin again.

Putin says 'conditions' for talks not met as Zelensky pushes for meeting with Russia
www.france24.com

... Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday the "conditions" were not yet in place for a face-to-face meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, hours after the Ukrainian president said he was willing to meet for talks on ending the war. The comments come amid a flurry of diplomatic activity, including talks between US President Donald Trump and Putin as early as next week. ...

Another opportunity for Mr. Putin to reduce Trump to a trembling puppy with his tail between his legs.

Putin is a mass murderer like Bundy...you don't negotiate with a mass murderer, you oppose them.

Does any MAGA wish to argue that Putin does not roll Trump on a regular basis?

Although it does need to be said, Z will have to make a public statement reminding those meeting (and the rest of the world) that Der Dotard doesn't speak for Ukraine, doesn't negotiate on their behalf, and that any promises made by Trump that would bind Ukraine are null and void. Of course, after the private, unrecorded session between Putin and his lamb an announcement of ridiculous terms 'agreed to' by Russia will be put forth, in an attempt to make the Ukrainians the bad guys in this mess.

Want real negotiations? Continue to arm the Ukrainian armed forces, meeting their every need. Russia will bend shortly after...

It does seem that Trump has lost focus lately. It's time that he in reminded who is in charge and had his marching orders updated.

Trump will carve up Ukraine with Putin just to preserve whatever weird relationship they have.

Republicans love Putin, and they think that Russia is great because it's no longer the USSR (which Putin is actively rebuilding), and not our adversary (LOL).

Just ask --------------.

"Russian President Vladimir Putin gave President Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff an award to pass along to a senior CIA official whose son was killed in Ukraine while fighting alongside Russian forces," CBS News reports.

"The award, the Order of Lenin, was meant to be handed off to Juliane Gallina, whose 21-year-old son, Michael Gloss, was killed in 2024."

I can't see Mr. Putin agreeing to end the war with Ukraine when it would mean giving up his lifelong goal of restoring Russia to the former USSR, thus cementing his legacy as the greatest leader Russia has ever known.

Mr. Putin doesn't want bitsy parts & pieces of Ukraine. He wants the whole country. Ukraine is his steppingstone to Eastern Europe.

It's unlikely that Mr. Putin would let an incompetent twerp like Trump get in his way. Especially since the original plan was for Trump to abandon the NATO alliance and have Mr. Putin's back for the invasion.

I guess you could say Trump got dollar signs in his own eyes and stabbed Mr. Putin in the back

Lewzer would never dare try. He's more afraid of Putin than he is of the Epstein files. He'll probably invite Russia to the 2028 Presidential Olympic Games.

Apparently the United States.

Trump's blather about "he believes Mr. Putin wants peace" isn't wholeheartedly true. Mr. Putin probably wants peace on Russia's terms.

One gets the impression Trump is entering this summit meeting with his fingers crossed that Mr. Putin will put Trump's goals (future Nobel Peace Prize winner) above Putin's own goal to rebuild the former USSR.

IMO, both Trump and Putin are well aware of the treachery inherent in both of them, i.e. agreements are made to be broken when convenient.

IMO, Mr. Putin in going to play Trump like the insecure patsy that he is.

Has there ever been any doubt????

on the subject of vanishing friendships, I suspect we'll eventually see Trump come to loggerheads with Netanyahu over Gaza.

Trump wants the strip to build his string of hotels and casinos.
Netanyahu wants to develop Gaza as a wholly owned part of Israel.

Stay tuned.
