Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

In all of these cases, sooner or later, the Trump administration can be expected to seek refuge in the work of Chief Justice John Roberts, whose maximalist language in Trump v. United States not only granted Trump a shield from criminal investigation and prosecution, but also handed him a sword to order criminal investigations and prosecutions"even sham ones.

Chief Justice John Roberts practically wrote Donald Trump a permission slip to prosecute anyone by using sham investigations like the one into James Comey, Cristian Farias writes.

Mob Loyalty to the Don is a truly impressive vice.

And Trump had the bestest mob mentor:

They should be required to display the logos of their corporate puppeteers on their robes. I mean, some have completely stopped trying to hide the strings.

Some people never come to terms with their need for a daddy to run their lives...and Roberts clearly is in tune with our Deal Leader in the White House.

Comey lied to Congress, it's not even debatable. That also explains the obstruction charge. There were three charges but the grand jury eliminated one of them.

The fact that he's never been arrested, tells me that he will likely never go to prison.

So now we suddenly care about lying to Congress?

What's next? Charges for people ignoring Congressional subpoenas being all good?

Maybe you will state, clearly, with supporting information the lie(s) that Comey told

You won't, cause you can't, cause you're a lying -----

He clearly lied when he said he didn't act as, or provide an anonymous source information to leak to the NYT. We know this because later he claimed that he did provide information to an anonymous source "because he felt the information needed to get out there"

They have him on video and the grand jury agrees - dumbass

So, You have to lie to draw your conclusions

Fact=he didn't lie

------------ own handpicked DA refused to indict

----------- had to find an unqualified lackey, who has NEVER prosecuted anyone to go to the GJ.

Fact-Said attorney was in office for like 48 hours before indicting, indicating it would have been impossible for her to get up to speech

Fact-NO OTHER of the 300 attorneys in the VA office would sign onto the indictment

Fact-She couldn't get an indictment for 1 of the 3 charges

Fact-She only got 14 of 23 jurists to agree on 2 of the charges

fact-Grand Juries do not hear any exculpatory evidence

Fact-It is UNHEARD of to not get a unanimous or near unanimous verdict

Fact-the threshold for a GJ is "probably cause" NOT reasonable doubt

Prediction-This will be laughed out of court by the first judge who sees it, likely with an admonishment or worse against the prosecutor

But that is irrelevant as the goal is to terrorize opponents.

POSTED BY LFTHNDTHRDS

I'll discuss it

What was the fine for?

Hint: it had nothing to do with the accuracy or reliability of the data from the dossier. It was for not identifying the campaign money correctly with the FEC.

I believe Trumpy was convicted of a felony for doing something like that with the IRS.

Duh! No ------ Sherlock. She was spending money on the dossier she didn't want tied to her.

From CNN
" The money trail behind the Steele dossier has been a subject of intense political scrutiny for years. More than $1 million flowed from the Clinton campaign and DNC to the law firm Perkins Coie, which then hired the opposition research company Fusion GPS. That company later hired Steele and asked him to use his overseas contacts to dig up dirt about Trump's ties to Russia.

Steele has maintained that his research was unverified, required further investigation and was not meant for public disclosure. But his memos were leaked in January 2017, weeks before Trump took office. Over the years, a series of investigations and lawsuits have discredited many of Steele's central allegations about collusion and exposed the unreliability of Steele's sourcing. "

So yeah, amuse me some more.

How do you feel about a presidential nominee choosing a known russian asset to be his campaign manager, and then immediately rewriting the party platform to say russia can keep the territory it had just invaded?

Yup.

Conservative Website First Funded Anti-Trump Research by Firm That Later Produced Dossier (2017)
www.nytimes.com

... The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website funded by a major Republican donor, first hired the research firm that months later produced for Democrats the salacious dossier describing ties between Donald J. Trump and the Russian government, the website said on Friday.

The Free Beacon, funded in large part by the New York hedge fund billionaire Paul Singer, hired the firm, Fusion GPS, in 2015 to unearth damaging information about several Republican presidential candidates, including Mr. Trump. But The Free Beacon told the firm to stop doing research on Mr. Trump in May 2016, as Mr. Trump was clinching the Republican nomination.

Hillary Clinton's campaign and the Democratic National Committee had begun paying Fusion GPS in April for research that eventually became the basis for the dossier. ...
