Joblessness for Black workers is rising again, two years after reaching a record low. It's a troubling indicator: Joblessness often spikes higher for historically marginalized groups during economic downturns, and takes longer to fall. This time, the Trump administration's assault on diversity programs and cuts to the federal workforce could make it even more difficult for Black workers to recover when conditions improve.
Mission accomplished.

Two groups "over-represented" in the government are blacks and women.
No surprise black women will be the group most affected.
That's not a bug, that's a feature.

Well, when the Fed workforce is 4x over-represented by black women due to DEI hiring practices, they were bound to be hurt bad when the useless government functions were finally shut down. However, they should have no trouble finding new jobs as I am repeatedly told they, black women, are the most education group in America.

"Conditions started to deteriorate in 2024 after pandemic-era subsidies expired. Black households were the only racial group last year in which median income fell and the poverty rate rose, according to the U.S. Census Bureau."
For those of you who think presidents have buttons and levers in the oval office that control what happens to jobs, wages, etc.
