Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, November 15, 2025

After reviewing coverage from the network and hours of social media videos that preceded Trump's decision, ProPublica found that Fox's portrayal of "Portland rioters" routinely instigating violence was misleading.

NEW: ProPublica examined months of Fox News' coverage and reviewed over 700 videos posted on social media. The network used five-year-old footage, mislabeled other dates and implied footage from elsewhere was in Portland.

You mean that Fox LIED about Portland? A great big, fat, easily debunaked lie?

It's hard to believe.

My daughter visited Portland recently. Not her first time. As always, she says that the place is great. I wonder if Trump/MAGA ever mistakes people having fun for violence?

Seems like the $787M payment Fox News had to pay somehow wasn't enough.

I remember a time before Rupert and Fox lying News, when there was a Fairness Doctrine for the media...one could have a discussion with others and know all had the same set of facts. Now, however, those who watch Fox are not only fed partial truths, if that, but they are handed that news on a plate of gaslighting utter nonsense.

There is enough evidence from years of lies from fox news to show that they are an enemy of the state. Who is paying them to destroy America?

Intelligent people don't listen to the lie factory.

Not only that, but a huge part of it is what they're not told.

Portland should sue.

Isn't that what we do now?

Trumpy just sued the BBC for $5 billion for "misrepresentation" of Trumpy regarding J6.

$5 billion for lying about Portland so he can send in the troops sounds right to me.
