More from the article ...

... Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump, was speaking at the Doha Forum, a major gathering of government officials and other international players. Trump Jr. stressed that Ukraine has long been hamstrung by corruption in its official ranks and argued that such graft is fueling the war in both Moscow and Kyiv. ...

My summary:

DJT, Jr is fielding a new cover-theory for Pres Trump to walk away from supporting Ukraine and claim a victory in doing so.

The problem is Pres Putin, not Pres Zelenskyy.

Pres Zelenskyy is steadfastly trying to protect his country from an unprovoked invasion from Pres Putin.

And Pres Trump now seems to be ready to toss Pres Zelenskyy aside?

He prolly means that Daddykins will crawl away on his knees just as planned. Which is convenient as he's always in that position for Vlad.

And now Pres Trump seems to have his son making up the rationale for deserting an ally.

The way every race is trying to separate from each other."[7] ...

That FIFA prize that they awarded to Pres Trump was a joke.

And in doing so, FIFA did little more than lower its esteem on the world stage of their sport.

All I can say at this point is that I hope FIFA got enough in return from Pres Trump for lowering itself in that transaction.

They had to bring some kind of swag. They already gave him the real World Cup trophy last year.

Would you rather see the US just keep throwing money at it like a stripper? That's what was happening during the Biden Admin. Biden did absolutely nothing to promote diplomacy. He simply paid for a proxy war.

It's strange to us, how you don't think maintaining friends and allies is worth expending any resources on.
But it sure does fit your personality.

Ukraine not being a part of Russia is a real result.
Not sure where the disconnect is here.

"Biden did absolutely nothing to promote diplomacy."

You are willfully stupid.
And you're proud of how stupid you are too.
This is just who you are as a person.

President Biden's diplomatic efforts to prevent a Russian invasion of Ukraine were extensive and multifaceted, involving direct communication with world leaders, coordinated international condemnation, and repeated warnings to Russia. Despite these efforts, the invasion occurred on February 24, 2022, leading to a shift in strategy focused on escalation management and sustained support for Ukraine without direct U.S. military engagement.

Biden engaged in high-level diplomatic talks, including a 50-minute video conference with French President Emmanuel Macron and meetings with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Russian President Vladimir Putin, aiming to avert conflict through dialogue.
The administration pursued intense diplomacy, warning Russia repeatedly that an invasion would lead to severe consequences, including powerful sanctions and export controls, while emphasizing that the U.S. and NATO were not a threat to Russia.
Despite claims by Russia of troop withdrawals from Ukraine's border, U.S. intelligence did not verify these movements, and Biden maintained that an invasion remained "distinctly possible" as of February 2022.
The U.S. worked to rally international support, securing broad condemnation of Russia's actions in the UN General Assembly and coordinating sanctions and military aid with allies.
After the invasion, Biden established clear boundaries for U.S. involvement, stating the U.S. would not send troops to fight in Ukraine, would not support attacks on Russian territory, and would not seek to oust Putin, aiming to manage escalation and prevent a broader war.
By 2023, internal discussions within the Biden administration and European allies indicated a quiet shift toward preparing for a potential negotiated end to the war, focusing on strengthening Ukraine's defensive posture and rebuilding its defense industry, though official policy still stated support for Ukraine's goal of full territorial restoration.
