Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, February 04, 2026

Border czar Tom Homan recently announced that authorities have located more than 145,000 children that had been lost amid the millions of illegal immigrants that poured across the U.S. border under the Biden administration. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Office of Refugee Resettlement at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services have been working tirelessly "to locate more than 300,000 unaccompanied alien children that the Biden administration turned over to unvetted sponsors, lost track of, and weren't looking [for]," Homan said in a Jan. 30 post on X.

Scott Lloyd, who led the resettlement office in the Trump administration, said he realized in 2018 that the number of unaccompanied Guatemalan boys being released to sponsors in South Florida seemed to be growing.

"I always wondered what was happening there," he said.

But his attention was diverted by the chaos around the Trump administration's child separation policy, and he never looked into it. The trend he saw has only accelerated: For example, in the past three years, more than 200 children have been released to distant relatives or unrelated adults around Immokalee, Fla., an agricultural hub with a long history of labor exploitation.

"Media silent"

More often than not when this happens, it's because there is no story.

I listened to Mr. Hohman threaten the citizens of Minnesota this morning.

There will be more blood.

He just lied his ass off in a press/news event defending ICE/CBP with an unconditional love a dog can't even muster.

Did he say they've locked them all up in ICE facilities? How many were found before Trump took over and they just "announced" the number?

There is, literally, nothing this administration says that can be believed.
Nothing.

Just as I thought, you guys deflect from the subject of the thread.

But anyway, even in the face of success, you guys cant even acknowledge the good that has come since Trump is in office.

Everything is bad bad back. Even though everything is good and the real Americans can see it.

Kinda sounds like "At least Hitler made the trains run on time."

Maybe you can give us a list? Remember, it has to be things that are GOOD. I hope I don't have to define "good" ferchrissakes.

I'll give it a start:
Closed the border.

"145,000 missing children"

Who reported them missing?
The government not knowing where someone is, is not the same as that person being missing.

"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Executive Associate Director (EAD) of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Thomas D. Homan was one of three Department of Homeland Security (DHS) career executives who received a 2015 Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Service, which is bestowed to leaders who've achieved sustained extraordinary results. How do you imagine that a good talking point for you?
You believe Barack Obama is a Marxist intent on destroying America.
You spent about five years questioning if he was even born in the United States.

"During his third term?"

He was given the award in 2015, toward the end of Obama's second term.

Well, if that doesn't prove Homan never took a bribe, NOTHING does.

Oh...

...right.

Nothing does.
