If you can't be bothered to read it, ICE detained a brit grandma for 2 months even though she was 100% legal. ICE agents allegedly get a bonus per detainment, which motivated grabbing her along with her husband who was on an expired tourist visa.

Eddie Murphy should do a remake where he gets arrested and deported as soon as he lands here.

This sort of thing happens a lot. As correctly pointed out, ICE gets bounties for arrests. They give into the incentive to use their offices to oppress people. They are mercenary goons. Why take the chance and visit the US? There are many, many safer and saner places.

Abolish ICE and DHS.

St Patrick's Day is coming up.

As custom, the Taoiseach will meet with the POTUS and most likely NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani (which will be a terrific photo).

This year may be the first time in US-Ireland relations that the Taoiseach, Micheal Martin, will have to rebuke an American president over the US detaining Irish nationals.

Nope. Don't do it.

My co-worker's wife is a German citizen and US green card holder. She was told by her academic advisor at UNLV not to come to the US to walk for her graduation from her Master's program.

They've blew through the low hanging fruit, there was never that much of it, and are chasing white people now. Wild times.

Loyalty to Trump is even more important than skin color... it's certainly more important than any laws.

I am a Chinese citizen, with a US Green card. I am not scared to travel, there's nothing to be afraid of.

Listening to a biased and prejudice academic about your travel is just so hilarious and such lack of awareness.

Sure you apply for the visa (a six month) at the same time, but his is expired .... ridiculous, they both probably over stayed and were caught.

I applied for a B-2 tourist visa for my parents to enjoy my daughter here in the US, I am not concerned; I tell them stay within the law; don't carry a gun and/or drive a car into a LEO.

But killing a family of four, while driving your car is OK; this news btw is all over the place in China.

As long as it takes commie spyboy. When was the civil war? How long was the civil war? How long was the "reconciliation" after? When was the Civil Rights Act finally passed by Congress?

Like I said.. as long as it takes. The moral arc of the Universe is long but it bends toward Justice.

Currently in America ..

There is no Justice.

There is Just Ice.

Considering Trump is attacking major tourist destinations - NYC, Chicago, DC, Los Angeles - with ICE agents and the national guard, I'm not sure why tourists would want to put themselves in a situation where mouth breathing, high school drop outs have absolute immunity to do whatever they want to anyone around them.

Also. Minnesota is still under heavy attack by ICE. The media - owned by Trump supporting billionaires - has simply stopped reporting on the state. Much like they stopped reporting on Gaza and the Ukraine.

We're in an information blackout thanks to our pro Trump, Billionaire controlled media.

"I am a Chinese citizen, with a US Green card. I am not scared to travel, there's nothing to be afraid of."

That's cool. I'm a US citizen living in Germany. I went to the US a few weeks ago for work. I have GE, and when I went through, the dude was like, "Do you have anything to declare?" No. "Are you positive" I am.

If I get trouble going to do my job in the US, it's going to be a problem. Not for me. I'm more than happy to fly home and report why I wasn't where I was supposed to be.

One of my family members got hassled by CBP a few months ago because he was coming from Albania. I wish it had been me.
