More from the article ...

... Trump made the remarks while celebrating Venezuela's win against Italy in the World Baseball Classic (WBC) tournament.

"Wow! Venezuela defeated Italy tonight, 4-2, in the WBC (Baseball!) Semifinal. They are looking really great. Good things are happening to Venezuela lately! I wonder what this magic is all about? STATEHOOD, #51, ANYONE?," he wrote on Truth Social.

Why It Matters

Trump's remark came amid an ongoing U.S. role in Venezuela following the January seizure of former President Nicols Maduro and Washington's coordination with acting President Delcy Rodrguez, raising fresh questions about American oversight, oil policy and regional sovereignty.

The suggestion also echoes Trump's broader interest in expanding U.S. territory " he previously said he wanted Canada to become America's 51st state and has repeatedly pushed to acquire Greenland, straining ties with Denmark and fueling a snap election in Copenhagen. ...

Trump vows to 'take' Cuba as island reels from oil embargo
www.japantimes.co.jp

... U.S. President Donald Trump vowed Monday to "take" Cuba as the communist island plunged into darkness under a total power blackout linked to a crippling oil embargo imposed by Washington.

After nearly seven decades defying the United States, Havana's communist authorities are under massive pressure from a Trump administration determined to make history.

"You know, all my life I've been hearing about the United States and Cuba. When will the United States do it?" Trump told reporters at the White House.

"I do believe I'll be ... having the honor of taking Cuba," Trump said.

"Whether I free it, take it -- think I could do anything I want with it, you want to know the truth. They're a very weakened nation right now."

It was one of Trump's most explicit threats and came as the Caribbean island of 9.6 million people grappled with yet another major power cut. ...

Trump is a Rabid Dog.

He's actually lost it.

Only Military Defeat will stop him

Americans are Too Shallow and Self Absorbed to Stand Up against this.

This is what happens when a Trillion Dollar Military becomes the Toy of a Deranged Imbecile and the Nation Just Goes Along with It.

AMERICAN Exceptionalism?

Exceptionally Evil, Exceptionally Self Absorbed.

GOTTA SUPPORT THE TROOPS!!

@#4 ... No more Canada? ...

Yeah, I wondered about that aspect as well.

Maybe Pres Trump wasn't getting enough of a deflection from the Epstein files with his comments about Canada?

So now he's trying something else?

Makes as much sense as making DC *checks notes - a fricking city* into a state.

Trump has expressed that he wants to take over Venezuela, Cuba, Canada and Greenland. He's a dementia addled megalomaniacal fraud committing rapist.

People should get representation, not empty land.

DC has more people than Vermont and Wyoming and is close in population to several other states.
592,720 Wyoming
648,063 Vermont
693,600 Washington, D.C.
747,379 Alaska
811,610 North Dakota
937,397 South Dakota

I don't think Venezuela is that stupid. What would they want that.

Headline is inaccurate.

Should read, "Trump floats another turd downstream."

The president can't create states.

He's simply trolling in order to continue distracting from the Epstein files.

President Pedophile needs to make sure he escapes accountability.

"taxation without representation" is SOOOO overrated, right?
It's like, no body ever fought a war over that thing!

Brilliant!
They would get a representative, two senators, and become citizens so they could come north.
