Bovino Claimed Minority Status

Ousted Border Patrol Officer Greg Bovino was revealed Tuesday to have claimed minority status, according to previously unreported legal documents obtained by The New York Times and despite his admission to having referred to undocumented migrants as "filth" and "trash." Bovino was moved out of his role at "commander at large" of the US Border Patrol in January following the deadly immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota that led to the killings of American citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Set to retire this week, Bovino spoke with the Times for a Tuesday report that uncovered a surprising revelation. "He identified his race as Native American' and his tribe as Cherokee," the Times report reads. "He testified that he had identified this way since he was 8 years old, but said he was not registered on any official tribal rolls.

A cousin of mine got in a LOT of trouble with my aunt and uncle back when. My uncle noticed he suddenly had a nice watch and a wad of cash. When he asked him about it, Russell said, "I got a job." Turned out Gotti's outfit had hired him to be a runner in Queens. Apparently they'd hire juveniles for some "jobs" like that. Russell got grounded for months LOL.

Hi American Unity:

As youngsters Henry and Tommy got their starts as runners and errand boys for the Lucchese Crime Family (LCF).

But as a youngster Jimmy "the Gent" immediately started off string-arming and then conducting assassinations for the LCF, as well as lucrative highway robbery for which he paid his weekly tribute to Big Paulie.

BTW: The "discovery" discussion was interesting. The verb we are accustomed to using is "discover" when it should be "claim."

In essence, the indigenous peoples of the New World "discovered" there were other people east to them across the vasty salty expanse, while the explorers and slave-traders of the Old World "claimed" these virgin lands as their spoils.

Christopher Columbus' statue is re-erected because he enslaved the natives. His first dispatch to Madrid was: "Well Your Majesty, we didn't reach China, but we found new lands full of slaves for the Spanish Empire."

We had a copy of Henry Hill's cookbook forever. I gave it to one of the neighborhood kids I grew up with in the suburbs. A few of the dads on my paper route were mafia guys, including his, which I only realized later:

I always wondered why some of the dads seemed to be home a lot during the day. And how one, who had 10 kids, could afford to not work AND buy his 16-year-old daughter a 'Vette. Sometimes I could hear one of the dads, who lived on the street behind mine, guffawing with other dudes, or yelling, "Marie, get me another g-damned beer! I didn't put 2 and 2 together until years later when a headline in USA Today was about the feds indicting most of them. LOL
