It will be nice that the POTUS is bothering himself to address the nation on the war he has to started.

Monumentus

It smells like Piggy will declare victory and stop bombing Iran. You know, surrender.

What will Israel do?

What will Iran do?

Israel is committed to seizing Lebanese land; they are involved in a brutal close quarters land battle. That is not something easily stopped.

Iran is on the verge of having unfettered access to Israeli, Gulf States and American bases' air spaces.

Will Iran stick by their ally Hezbollah?

Clearly Iran will keep control of the strait.

Does Iran stop sending missiles but prevent traverse of the strait by US allied ships?

What does stopping bombing Iran actually mean? Like ok we stop bombing them, but Iran bombs us?

Iran's says Elon Musk's Starlink a legitimate target'
Iranian state media is reporting that US billionaire Elon Musk's satellite internet infrastructure, Starlink, across the region is now "among Iran's legitimate" targets.

The Fars news agency published an infographic, saying Starlink has a presence in countries like Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

The usage of Starlink in Iran is punishable by up to two years' imprisonment.

Despite the threat, some people continue to use it to send communication abroad amid the ongoing internet blackout imposed by the Iranian government

@#1 ... Anyone want odds? ...

That's the huge problem our NATO allies have been facing.

i.e., why should we commit our troops to a war when Pres Trump is not even able to state the goals of the war?

I can't imagine this is announcing ground assault. That would be odd, especially since a ground assault would result in casualties.

Surrender without any hint of agreement by Iran seems odd too

Probably gonna be a nothing burger, we blew up this and that and we therefore are stopping bombing at 12 pm EST.

Will he try to hawk merchandise?

He probably just booked a time slot so he can take credit/blame Biden for the Artemis launch from the DJT Space Center.

Trump is going to get on television to tell the nation what he did in Iran, despite our disapproval; and what he will do next, despite our disapproval.

Or maybe he'll just whine about his effing ballroom for thirty minutes.

This man is not our president. He's a silly, dangerous, dictatorial pig.

Dummkopf Trumpf has a long, busy day today.

The Dotard is supposedly going to attend a SCOTUS session or hearing today.

Then he's going to bleat at the American people his lies, distortions, and propaganda.

I don't watch TV, but I bet there's a baseball game on tonight.

Trump says will consider alleged ceasefire request when Hormuz Strait is open'
After claiming that Iran asked for a ceasefire, Trump added in his social media post that he will consider it "when Hormuz Strait is open, free, and clear".

"Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion."

Nothing like consistency

Ah, Trump's April Fools Speech....

#17 | Posted by Corky at 2026-

Wouldn't common sense dictate that he give this speech on April 2nd?

#18 | Posted by Zed at 2026-04-01 12:21 PM | Reply

So a month after airing a tape of himself in the middle of the night wearing a ridiculous baseball hat - to hide the hair net or the lack of hair? - babbling inanities and starting a war, Old Yeller is going to lurch on-camera and yip-yap about how, in retrospect, he's fulfilled all of the goals he's kept secret until now, ergo ta-ta-ta-TACO!

Alan Bates played a British soldier during the First World War who ended up in a French village abandoned by its inhabitants and taken over by the residents of a nearby asylum in King of Hearts (1966). It took him a while, but eventually he caught on.

Just saying.

FWIW if this speech is as reported.... we blew up blah blah and Nato sucks and I hate them and we will stop bombing in 2 weeks... it will truly be BS.

A. Piggy uses 2 weeks as a measure for EVERYTHING
B. It tells us that Piggy has no plan
C. Does not consider Israel and Iran's role in this.

In short, this speech will be an absolute nothing burger that will actually harm America

Thanks magat scum

He's going to Declare Victory, and then go play golf in his imaginary Ballroom.

The Iranian Pres posted today that there had been no discussions, but:

"Iranian president says in letter that Iran harbors no enmity towards ordinary Americans

"Attacking Iran's vital infrastructure"including energy and industrial facilities"directly targets the Iranian people," Pezeshkian wrote. "Beyond constituting a war crime, such actions carry consequences that extend far beyond Iran's borders.

"They generate instability, increase human and economic costs, and perpetuate cycles of tension, planting seeds of resentment that will endure for years. This is not a demonstration of strength; it is a sign of strategic bewilderment and an inability to achieve a sustainable solution."

He claimed that the U.S. "entered this aggression as a proxy for Israel, influenced and manipulated by that regime." That's associated with Israel's efforts to, as Pezeshkian described, divert global attention from the nation's "crimes" toward Palestinians.

"Is it not evident that Israel now aims to fight Iran to the last American soldier and the last American taxpayer dollar"shifting the burden of its delusions onto Iran, the region, and the United States itself in pursuit of illegitimate interests?" he wrote."

David Rothkopf of The Daily Beast and "Need to Know" on Substack, wrote a brilliant synthesis of the substance of Donald's war speech that was seen around the world:

If you comb the stockyards of Chicago and search all the cattlelands of America's great prairies, if you go from the hillsides on which attentive Japanese farmers cultivate Wagyu beef to the ranches of Argentina's famed gauchos, you will find less bulls--t than uttered by President Donald J. Trump in 18 minutes and 39 seconds on Wednesday night.

The U.S. president, looking addled and unsure of himself, unleashed a torrent of lies, untruths, misrepresentations, deceptions, and distilled nuggets of crapola so vast that it may well live up to the most Trumpian of descriptive phrases: "Nobody has ever seen anything like it before."

Compounding the fact that he managed to speak for almost 20 minutes without uttering nearly a single truth was the equally mind-numbing reality that, despite the White House having advertised his national TV appearance as a major address on the Iran war, nothing newsworthy crossed his thin, ever-so-lightly glossed lips.

His address was not so much a speech as it was a greatest hits compilation from his Truth Social account since the beginning of the current war in Iran, known to those who know as Operation Epic Fiasco.

Brilliant.
