With less than 100 days before the midterm elections, Republican pollsters are sounding alarm bells amid a frightening lack of enthusiasm from their base of voters.

On Sunday, The Washington Post reported that Americans for Prosperity Action, a super PAC affiliated with the Koch brothers, found that roughly 1 in 5 voters in the GOP's base could stay home this fall or even cast ballots for Democrats.

The group found that these voters are frustrated with the affordability crisis that President Donald Trump has exacerbated with his tariffs and the war in Iran.

"That problem is compounded by the fact that the GOP coalition is now more reliant on infrequent voters who have gone out to cast ballots for Trump yet have stayed home during nonpresidential contests.

If both infrequent voters and a fifth of Trump's base stay home, that would cause an electoral disaster for Republicans, who would not only lose the House but likely the Senate as well."

"Politico conducted a poll that found the "Big Beautiful Bill" congressional Republicans passed last summer"and which GOP leaders said would save their electoral hopes this fall"was a failure.

Only 8% of Americans said that the bill"which slashed healthcare and food stamp benefits for the poorest segment of the population to only partly pay for tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit the wealthiest few"greatly helped their finances.

Even more troublesome for Republicans is that only 26% of people who voted for Trump said the bill gave working-class Americans big tax breaks.

A plurality of Trump voters (35%) instead said that working-class Americans got only "some" tax breaks, which were there merely to "conceal larger tax breaks for the wealthy." Ouch."

Blue Wave bye, bye Congres! I expect DJT may then just quit his job and go to Israel where they love him... and won't extradite him for all the crimes he will be convicted of in absentia.
