OK, so, after Pres Trump's DOGE chain-saw cuts and whimsical tariffs apparently have pushed our allies away from us, Pres Trump now wants to spend money to try to woo those allies back?

Too bad the US doesn't have some agency to advance our interests world-wide. You know, some sort of entity that could help other countries develop their economies backed by US dollars and assistance. We could call it something like the United States Agency for International Development, or something like that.

Here in the real world, this is another demonstration of the boobs at the Trump Administration having no clue about how the world works, an inability to understand how foreign policy works, and how funds advanced by our country create both good will and soft power around the globe. The Chinese certainly understand this, because they play the long game, which is advanced by actions like economic assistance to other countries, so as to be treated in a favorable manner. The dorks at the Dotard's Grift-O-Rama saw money going out but couldn't understand that these were funds INVESTED in a common future between the US and the recipient countries. Now that Der Dotard pratfell once again, he got run over by the Chinese, and had fallen behind in the race...
