Because what I hear most commonly cited is myocarditis. But studies showed (I actually do provide documentation when I claim something) that while vaccination did give you an increased chance of myocarditis, getting COVID without vaccination gave a 7x higher risk of myocarditis than if you did get vaccinated.

"The relative risk (RR) for myocarditis was more than seven times higher in the infection group than in the vaccination group"

But the intellectually lazy chose to compare myocarditis rates to the population of people who had neither gotten vaccinated nor ever gotten COVID. How many people do you know that were never vaccinated and never got COVID? Because I do not think any of those people exist.

And the myocarditis claims seemed to be the best ones that the anti-vaxxers had. So can you please share the documentation that you claim is so readily available?

And then in looking at all cause mortality...

"In this cohort study including 22.7 million vaccinated individuals and 5.9 million unvaccinated individuals, vaccinated individuals had a 74% lower risk of death from severe COVID-19 and no increased risk of all-cause mortality over a median follow-up of 45 months."

Studies like this protect against cherry picking the data by singling out specific causes of death. It is very hard to manipulate all cause mortality (people either died or they didn't).

It is hard to know for sure in the middle of it, but now five years later studies are coming out that give the full picture. It was valid to worry that the vaccine COULD POSSIBLY have had unknown long term effects. Only time could tell for sure. But, now time has passed and five years later there has so far been NO INDICATION that the vaccine has any adverse effects that are worse (or that anyone had a higher risk of) than contracting COVID unvaccinated would cause.
