Argentina's President, Javier Milei, has heightened tensions with the UK over the Falklands, warning he will impose economic sanctions on firms which exploit oil close to the British overseas territory. In a national address, Milei said the "winds of change" favoured Argentina's claim to the islands, emboldened by signs the US might reconsider its stance of neutrality on the issue.

Whenever things go t#ts up in Argentina, as is often the case - an annual inflation rate of 33.8% doesn't help matters - there's the "las Malvinas" chant. The Argies got walloped the last time they tried that, and the tenuous supply line from Argentina to Port Stanley versus a single submarine problem remains today what it was then. Plus drones. "Don't cry for me, Argentina ... "

The Falklanders want to be Brits. Just like the Canadians want to be Canadians and the Greenlanders Greenlanders.

I know this goes against fascist/Argie/Trump/MAGA mindset, but the Free World does not give a Flying F---.
