Jim Bakker, evangelist brought down by scandal, dies at 86
Jim Bakker, the pioneering TV evangelist who became a symbol of the glitz and greed of the 1980s when his PTL empire near Charlotte collapsed amid sex and money scandals, landing him in prison for fraud, died Monday.

I used to love watching all those shows. Jim and Tammy Faye, Ernest Angley, Jimmy Swaggart, Jack and Rexella Van Impe.
Then I'd tune into Rev. Ike and Louis Farrakhan on the local radio on the weekends.
Gimme that old-time religion.

And caucused for Jesse Jackson in Austin, voted for McGovern after he was all that was left after aforementioned rwing public executions.
