Meta was ordered to pay $25 billion in penalties related to the Cambridge Analytica scandal in New Mexico.

The penalty comes after a jury in a Santa Fe courthouse found the social media giant liable for misleading state citizens about how it safeguards and collects user data.

New Mexico district court judge said in the filing that "Facebook did not conduct the comprehensive investigation that it promised" following the Cambridge Analytica revelations. ...

Creep Glasses

The concept is of vision assist is a great thing. They can be viewed as the visual equivalent of a hearing aid. Some visually impaired people may truly benefit from the technology. It's a shame that perverts have given them such a bad name. Laws need to catch up with the tech to treat visual "recording/transmission" the same as audio recording i.e. the two parties have to agree.

@#3 ... Americans sick of all things Zuckerberg ...

So, it seems that Mr Zuckenberg has issued himself a bunch of non-voting stock shares that he can then sell when [if] the California wealth tax takes effect.

Why might he have done that? One report I saw noted that he would have had to sell his voting stock shares to pay the tax.

So, to get around having to sell his voting shares, he just issued himself a boatload of non-voting shares that he could sell without affecting his uber-control of the company.
