The 11-year NBA veteran said Friday on X that he was "officially declaring" for the 2027 WNBA Draft in a sarcasm-laden post that immediately drew social media condemnation. Freedom is capitalizing on the recent controversy surrounding statements made by the Indiana Fever's Sophie Cunningham. Though Cunningham has attempted to distance herself from the remarks, she told ESPN that she wanted to use her platform as a WNBA player to "protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go against biological men." read more
"An emerging critique of Democratic decision-making," the chapter states, "is there are too many people who have become generationally wealthy off politics and drive too much of the decision-making within the ecosystem. This is deeply frustrating to many... who want to try a different set of politics but keep banging their heads up against a system proven to be inflexible and self-enriching." The chapter adds that "many of the people who worked at the highest levels of the party" are "financially secure," and thus potentially insulated "from the realities many Americans were encountering in their lives." The chapter raised pointed questions that were notably absent from the draft that the party put out, both about President Joseph R. Biden Jr.'s ill-fated decision to run for re-election and the sway of an operative class that had become "generationally wealthy off politics" while steering Democratic strategy." read more
A series of water main breaks across Los Angeles in recent days is raising concerns about the city's aging infrastructure and whether more failures could occur. Crews continued working to repair the massive trunk line that ruptured Thursday in West Hollywood, leaving behind a large sinkhole on Sunset Boulevard. The break is the latest in a string of water main failures that have flooded streets, damaged homes and businesses, closed roadways and disrupted water service. In Studio City, an 8-inch water main failed, flooding a street and temporarily leaving about 60 customers without water while crews completed repairs. read more
Can you follow any of those up with something Iran has done that the US hasn't?

Once the US lost 238 peace keeping Marines due to Iranian car bomber in Lebanon.
I really think any equivocation between what Iran has done vs US is just from people that hate the US.

I don't get the sense at anytime prior to that the US hated Iran, after that .. yeah.
Surely Trump must have improved the local economy through ongoing paramilitary occupation of Minneapolis.
idk he might have, but this is just the local government overspending, not a lack of revenues.
Minneapolis expects total city revenue to reach roughly $2.3 billion for the upcoming budget year, up from $1.91 billion in the 2025 adopted budget.
The $1.91 Billion is a 2.2% percent increase from the 2024 adopted budget of $1.84 billion,

I mean I could budget $400M over my income and complain about Trump. But then again, I am not an idiot.
Fact is, there are more Enteepreneurs per capita in the EU than the US.
Ridiculous ..

The oligarchy coming to the fore in the Capitalist West is merely the political reflection of the fact that Capitalism tends towards Monopoly.
Unmitigated Capitalism does, its the goal for them,, but the governments job its to stop it, and in America it has done a good job of it.
Also every 20-40 years its a different set up oligarchs.
Which is great.... Much better than the system the Socialist in China, or Russia setup, there you're monopoly controls the industry for 100yrs.
Today's oligarchs have 40x the wealth of Bill Gates 40 years ago.
This isn't the oligarchs fault this is the fact the government is printing money like its going out of style.
There's a great debate about the US being a reserve currency and the wealth its created.

In terms of household final consumption per capita, every state is richer than every foreign country.

and the inventors of Supply Side Economics, later said it never, ever werked.
I find this line hilarious because its exactly antipodal what Erza Klein said in the book, of all things, Abundance.
Abundance == SupplySide economics.

This just shows Corky to be the Boomer he is, living off the hard work of us Millennials, while remaining ignorant of where his benefits come from.

That doesn't mean they have to pretend America's been blameless.

Blameless in what 238 deaths in Iranian attack on peacekeeping Marine and french soldiers in Lebanon?
Since then it's been --- for tat.
What is the US to be blamed for, exactly that wasn't in response to Iranian provocations
