A suspect is dead after he shot and killed his neighbor before wounding two responding Pennsylvania state troopers, including one who managed to commandeer a tractor trailer to protect drivers from gunfire driving along a state highway. Shots were also fired at a responding ambulance, which veered off State Route 171 and crashed, injuring the EMT. The suspect, Carmine Faino (61), was shot and killed after he refused to comply with commands during a barricade situation. Investigators believe Faino shot and killed his neighbor Laurie Wasko (57) while she in front of her residence. The maniac fled and then ambushed the two responding state troopers from a distant point of tactical superiority. During negotiations, Faino shot down a police drone before he was neutralized. This area was a mini-warzone for several hours. Map: Susquehanna County Read more

Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller has lived in a memory-care facility "for the past few years," reported Paul Sperry on X." Unclear is whether was unclear as of Wednesday if the House Oversight Committee intended to withdraw its subpoena of Mueller. The subpoena relates to Mueller's involvement in a decades-old FBI investigation into convicted and deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Russian collusion in the 2016 Presidential election to help President Dummkopf Trumpf win. Mueller's 2019 report arguably damaged Trump's first term, although it ultimately failed to depose him or his first junta, but resulted in convictions of some GOP quislings. Link: Subpoena. OK, I know it is too early for Friday night tunes, but ... I have other plans for tomorrow evening. So I am starting this thread now.

OK, let's begin with the Steve Miller Band mentioning "funky shit" in the lyrics. ..

Donald Trump is right that Japan and Europe buy few American-made cars -- but it has little to do with trade barriers. From Tokyo to London, many consumers see Detroit's offerings as simply too big and too gas-guzzling. That view has made Chevrolets and Cadillacs a hard sell, and a rare sight, in cities full of slimmer cars from the Toyota Corolla to Honda Civic, Volkswagen Golf and Renault Clio.

Police bodycam footage introduced at the trial of Jared Wise showed him berating police officers on Jan. 6, 2021, and yelling "kill 'em" as rioters attacked law enforcement.

Less than five years after urging rioters to "kill" police at the Capitol, a former Jan. 6 defendant is working as a senior adviser for the Department of Justice, which has been dramatically remade under the second Trump administration.

Federal prosecutors on Wednesday moved to dismiss criminal charges against a woman accused of fraud in Florida who was being represented in court by Brad Bondi, the brother of Attorney General Pam Bondi. The Biden Justice Department filed a criminal complaint against Carolina Amesty, a former Republican lawmaker, in mid-January -- just days before President Donald Trump took office. Amesty faced two counts of theft of government property related to COVID relief fraud and, if convicted, faced a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison. But on Wednesday morning, Brad Bondi claimed in court papers that "counsel for Ms. Amesty learned [last month] that the government had ceased its criminal investigation ... and withdrew its outstanding subpoenas."

When Congress passed the Clean Air Act in 1970, climate change wasn't on anyone's mind. Yet under an Obama-era decision known as the "Endangerment Finding," the Environmental Protection Agency has claimed authority under the act to micromanage large parts of the American economy in the name of combating global warming. A new Trump administration proposal to reverse the Endangerment Finding returns the Clean Air Act to its original purpose, marking the end of a failed effort to control the climate through executive fiat.

Dummkopf Trumpf does not oppose Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's plan to launch a new military operation to occupy the entire Gaza Strip, US and Israeli officials report. The Israeli Security Cabinet is expected to approve a highly controversial plan to occupy the Gaza Strip and secure the Palestinians into isolated areas or camps. Trumpf has decided not to intervene in the Nakba, letting the murderous Likud regime make its own decisions. The new ethnic cleansing operation is expected to take several months and involve displacing approximately one million Palestinians. UNICEF reports that the IDF kills an average 28 Palestinian children per day (the equivalent of a classroom full of pupils). Link: UNICEF on X' Read more

CIA officials were concerned that the release of a House report on 2016 Russian election meddling could reveal top-secret spying techniques and sources, but DNI Tulsi Gabbard authorized a lightly redacted version with President Trumpf's blessing. Gabbard, D/CIA John Ratcliffe, USAG Pam Bondi have released a slew of intelligence and law enforcement reports that they claim prove that USIC findings that Moscow intervened in the 2016 presidential contest to help Trumpf was a "hoax" concocted by the Obama administration. Sometimes the animal wins, as Asher Watkins discovered. Watkins was an American trophy hunter. He traveled the world to find a variety of animals in the wild. And kill them. He was in South Africa on safari last Sunday, pursuing a 3,000lb Cape Buffalo bull in thick bush. Without warning, the buffalo burst from cover at 35mph and fatally struck Watkins, killing him almost instantly.

United Airlines temporarily grounded all of its mainline flights Wednesday evening due to a technical issue, the airline said. Mainline flights are operated directly by United, using its own aircraft and crew. These typically include Boeing 737, 757, 767, 777, and 787 jets, as well as Airbus A319 and A320 models. "Due to a technology issue, we are holding United mainline flights at their departure airports," a spokesperson told FOX Business. "We expect additional flight delays this evening as we work through this issue. Safety is our top priority, and we'll work with our customers to get them to their destinations."

The first-term speaker flexed his muscles on Tuesday, securing eight veto overrides with aisle-crossing votes from Democratic Reps. Shelly Willingham of Edgecombe County, Cecil Brockman of Guilford County and Carla D. Cunningham and Nasif Majeed, both of Mecklenburg County. Willingham was an especially willing partner, joining House Republicans on six of the successful override votes. "We're going to continue to pass pro-growth, conservative legislation in North Carolina, no matter what the Democrats want to do or no matter whether the governor vetoes those things or not," Hall said in a Thursday video shared to the @nchousepress account on X. "We're going to continue to pass the best policies for the folks of our state, so stay tuned for more updates on legislation from the House." Read more

During her nine hours speaking with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche last month, Ghislaine Maxwell said nothing during the interview that would be harmful to President Donald Trump, telling Blanche that Trump had never done anything in her presence that would have caused concern, according to sources familiar with what Maxwell said. The Trump administration, meanwhile, is considering publicly releasing the transcripts from the interview, multiple sources familiar with the internal discussions told ABC News.
