Evan Gershkovich to Be Released in Major Prisoner Swap

Putin made this deal because he knows his orange bitch is toast.

oooops sux to be cl0wn these days...

Hey cl0wns... see the things Biden's been doing while you were focused on Trumpanzee? It's been going on for the past three and a half years... right under your fat red honk-noses.

Trumpanzee is a record stuck on running against Clinton, Biden and Haley... in that order. The man clearly couldn't understand why he was being compelled to talk to Black journalists about an Asian contender.

Full bore "Pocahontas" over the wrong kind of "Indian"...

It's funny as hell.

This is a good deal. We need more troops for the glorious meat grinder, I mean battle for freedom in Russian province of Ukraine...

#1 lol. Putin 'made that deal' because he needs more
bodies to go and die in Ukraine...

#4 | Posted by earthmuse at 2024-08-01 10:16 AM

Sooo you think enlistments will go up over this?

The big thing slowing enlistments is so few kids are willing to go through fat camp first.

Sad story.

Absolutely dead-on.

While I'm glad these men were feed I worry what kind of monsters we gave back to Putin in the exchange.

#7 | Posted by qcp at 2024-08-01 10:33 AM

Well I am sure that the orange pedophile will bash the deal saying "it was the worst deal in history and I would have gotten them back without having to give up anything, buhlieve me".

Just like Otto Warmbier.

#8 | Posted by Nixon at 2024-08-01 10:58 AM

The number is now up to four.

#9 | Posted by YAV at 2024-08-01 11:27 AM

I take that back - poorly worded by a News reporter. Looks like 2 US and 2 Russian, total of 4, then followed with "more to be released" - so this is going to go on for a while it looks like?

16 Russians for 8, U.S., Germany, Norway, Slovenia, Poland

"The exchange of 24 prisoners across six countries follows months of negotiations from President Joe Biden and marks a rare moment of cooperation between Russia and its geopolitical adversaries in the West after more than two years of Russia's war in Ukraine.

The prisoner swap involves the release of 16 individuals previously detained in Russia in exchange for eight individuals held in the U.S., Germany, Norway, Slovenia and Poland."

"Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich and former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan are part of the swap.
Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty journalist Alsu Kurmasheva was and Vladimir Kara-Murza Jr., a dual Russian-British national and U.S. permanent resident who was jailed on treason charges for 25 years in April 2023, were also released."

Good job, President Biden! Thank you!

THEY'RE IN AMERICAN CUSTODY NOW !

What a great day.

Poor Trump. Just can't stay in the headlines these days.

AU

No doubt Trump is waiting for some air time so he can hold a full-press conference to congratulate President Biden on this miracle of diplomacy.

With the caveat that if he was President, he could have done it a long time ago simply by picking up the phone and calling his BFF Vladimir Putin ~ and get more prisoners released than the world has ever known.

#15 | Posted by Twinpac at 2024-08-01 01:27 PM

The NSA is saying this was the most complicated swap in history.
And full credit goes to the President, who pushed it, prioritized it, and authorized it.

#16 | Posted by YAV at 2024-08-01 01:28 PM

Just like clockwork Vladimir Futon comes out and says they were released because of the Orange Lard Barge.

#17 | Posted by Nixon at 2024-08-01 01:58 PM

Paul Whelan has been waiting forever to come home.
Good to see he is part of the deal...

#18 | Posted by earthmuse at 2024-08-01 02:00 PM

Vance is trying to give Trump credit for this. What Vance fails to explain is why Trump didn't bring Whelan home when he was in the White House nor how Trump factored into the two other prisoner exchanges the Biden administration has brokered with Russia. Vance has no answers for those questions because Vance is full of garbage.

#19 | Posted by johnny_hotsauce at 2024-08-01 02:13 PM

All the media has to do is ask Vladimir Futon why didn't Trump get Whelan released in the two years he was captive during his presidency.

But they won't.

Because they need it to be a horse race.

Now the orange lard barge is saying he would have gotten them all released for free.

Just like when Trump paid North Korea $2,000,000 for the "medical care" of Otto Warmbeir and received a corpse back.

#20 | Posted by Nixon at 2024-08-01 02:19 PM

This is the best thing President Biden could do for the county and to say good-by to his time in office.

Hints are that there's more to come before Joe leaves office.

#21 | Posted by Twinpac at 2024-08-01 02:20 PM

Vance said something about our allies in this prisoner exchange being afraid of Trump. Not worth the time it took to type that.

#22 | Posted by Twinpac at 2024-08-01 02:26 PM

This is great news.

#23 | Posted by BellRinger at 2024-08-01 02:45 PM

And a great accomplishment for Donald Trump!

"Who was freed in major prisoner swap between Russia and the West?"

www.cnn.com

Details of the Russian convicted criminals and spies released, and the American hostages.

While there's no question this deal was worth doing, it does highlight that Russia hostage taking for the purpose of freeing their criminals works.

#25 | Posted by Corky at 2024-08-01 03:47 PM

Putin's bitch was too busy golfing and snuffing out 1.2 million Americans to worry about Paul Whelan's release.

#26 | Posted by reinheitsgebot at 2024-08-01 04:59 PM

The orcs can keep Steven Seagal and Tara Reade.

#27 | Posted by reinheitsgebot at 2024-08-01 06:11 PM

JD Vance just said in an interview that Trump deserves the credit for the release of the prisoners because Russia is afraid of him, and he will soon be President again.

Sychophantry has reached a new all time high.

#28 | Posted by Corky at 2024-08-01 06:38 PM

Trump's greatest highlight was releasing 5000 taliban fighters back onto the battlefield and inviting their leaders to Camp David.

#29 | Posted by reinheitsgebot at 2024-08-02 12:31 AM

I wonder what sort of public temper tantrum Trumpanzee will engage in to draw attention away from the monumental achievement.

#30 | Posted by RightisTrite at 2024-08-02 04:15 AM

Isn't it strange Trump is whining about good news? Claiming he'd have gotten a better deal? "Master Negotiator?" Bull****! He didn't get Paul Whelan home, did he? (arrested in 2018)

This was a complex diplomatic effort involving several countries besides the U.S., primarily Germany. Trump's ambassador to Germany was so reviled that some German officials spoke publicly about the possibility of asking him to leave the country.

Trump let 5,000 Taliban fighters go free and invited their leadership to Camp David. He didn't even involve the Afghan government in negotiations, which is why the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan and we withdrew on the date we did.

If Trump's lips are moving ... And now he's whining about good news for America

#31 | Posted by AMERICANUNITY at 2024-08-02 10:02 AM

PS - VP Harris met several months ago with German Chancellor Sholz in Berlin and got the ball moving on their end.

This is what it's like when we don't pi** off our allies like Trump did.

#32 | Posted by AMERICANUNITY at 2024-08-02 10:14 AM

Trumpanzee blather about this is a typical republicl0wn showing off their psychic b.s. It's often spewed by the cl0wn base about what coulda, woulda, shoulda happened in their alternate reality. Either way... it turned out the way it did and there is no way for anyone to prove what they see in the future faking facts that can never be tested.

We've had prisoner releases and swaps before. Always the family waiting first at bottom of stairs of the airplane. Not this time as Biden and Kamala were blocking access to family. Pure politics as Kamala made more stupid words.
