Bannon: Elon Musk is a 'Truly Evil Guy'

Steve Bannon unloaded on Elon Musk, calling him a "truly evil guy" who must be run out of the MAGA movement. Musk spent more than a quarter of a million dollars to help return President-elect Donald Trump to the White House. The billionaire Tesla CEO and owner of X has been a fixture at Mar-a-Lago ever since, with some reports indicating Musk's near-constant presence is wearing on Trump. "I will have Elon Musk run out of here by Inauguration Day," Bannon, a former Trump White House adviser, told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera in an interview published on Wednesday. The article was flagged on Saturday by Bannon's former employer, Breitbart, which published excerpts in English. "He is a truly evil guy, a very bad guy. I made it my personal thing to take this guy down," Bannon said. "Before, because he put money in, I was prepared to tolerate it; I'm not prepared to tolerate it anymore."

In addition to Musk, Bannon blasted David Sacks and Peter Thiel, who also have roots in apartheid South Africa.

"Peter Thiel, David Sacks, Elon Musk, are all white South Africans," Bannon said. "He should go back to South Africa. Why do we have South Africans, the most racist people on earth, white South Africans, we have them making any comments at all on what goes on in the United States?"

Bannon took particular umbrage at a reply Musk made to a tweet suggesting Americans are "retarded."

"That pretty much sums it up," Musk wrote in a post last month that has since been deleted.

"He went out of his way to mock our movement as racist and retards, and he lost," Bannon said. "We blew him out of the water. He won't fight. He's got the maturity of a little boy."

Hmm, Bannon senses the danger for Republicans in the upcoming Mump regime.

Oh boy, Mumpers going to war with other Mumpers?:

These first six months of the Mump regime will be axial. Musk-Trump will have problems. Incompetence will tell. The mumpers who want fascism in order to get to oligarchy will clash with the mumpers who want oligarchy in order to get to fascism. Those who understand that they should just take credit for the Biden economy will clash with those who want tariffs and deportations. The mump crew will not do some of the things they promised, which is bad for them. They will do some of the things they promised, which is bad for the rest of us. But the things they mean to do are generally difficult, usually unpopular, sometimes in tension with one another, and often much worse in reality than they sound in campaign speeches.

BTW, does 1Lumper2 qualify as a Mumper, and if so, of which variety?

I always said that if Trumpers ever finally figure out that Trump is a minor Billionaire with a lot of TV actor creeds from the most common of all people, hence voters... and Musk, Theil, Leonard et al are the Billionaire Oligarchy they say they hate... that heads were going to roll.

Possibly quite literally, starting with Oligarchs, but continuing with anyone else who doesn't support them.

Or, as George Orwell said, "the pigs are now wearing trousers".

A clear case of "it takes one to know one"!

@sanders.senate.gov

Musk is hiring "super high-IQ small government revolutionaries" for DOGE.

What do these super-humans have in store for us mere mortals?

Will they create universal health care, address the housing crisis or climate change?

Or will they just make the rich richer?

Stay tuned.

Senator Bernie Sanders
@sanders.senate.gov

Yes. We need to deal with excessive federal bureaucracy and waste.

But don't kid yourself.

Musk-Trump's goal is to privatize USPS, the VA, NASA, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security and give them to their billionaire friends.

Oligarchy marches on--unless we stop it.

Bannon's out, Musk is in.

It'd be funny if it weren't so fuggin' pathetic.

Will they create universal health care, address the housing crisis or climate change?

Not if there isn't a profit in it.

You've gotta do something pretty bad to get a scumbag like Bannon to be against you.

#13 | Posted by jpw at 2025-01-12 06:39 PM

#13 | Posted by jpw

Yeah, that don't make no sense.

Bannon is against people like you.

(And, no. Not trying to defend DirtbagMusk)

#14 | Posted by Angrydad at 2025-01-12 08:49 PM

Bannon's rant suggests that a reprise of the Night of the Ling Knives will come sooner than later after Inauguration Day. People should watch their backs ...

@#13 ... You've gotta do something pretty bad to get a scumbag like Bannon to be against you. ...

Yup.

But then I raise a question I have poised previously ...

Why is it that the GOP seems to have only these ~bad people~ to lead this Country forward?

#16 | Posted by LampLighter at 2025-01-12 09:16 PM

The GOP continues its relentless internal battle of the old worst people in the world versus the upstart worst people in the world.

May they fight to the death and both lose.

#17 | Posted by cbob at 2025-01-13 04:31 AM

Yeah, Musk spent somewhere around 277 million to get Trump back into the White House, but the second that Trump won, Musk's stock rose far, far more than that 277 million. The big money boys know how the game is played when the grifter is in charge...they cross his palms, he sets them up.

#18 | Posted by Hughmass at 2025-01-13 06:55 AM

Musk is Trump's Prigozhin. He's probably behind the Don's shakedown of lesser billionaires. Bannon is useless.

#19 | Posted by FortNecessity at 2025-01-13 09:23 AM

I love how Bannon thinks he's some sort of kingmaker when he's actually just some slob doing a podcast in a messy room.

Steve Bannon is so fat he sweats butter.

Gotta say, I'm rooting for Steve.

That said, what can he really do to Musk? Besides just complain and make fun of him, like the rest of us.

#23 | Posted by horstngraben at 2025-01-13 07:43 PM

I am not rooting for either of them. But I have my popcorn ready for the feeding frenzy as more of the MAGA figure out they were played by the Oligarchy.

#24 | Posted by GalaxiePete at 2025-01-14 10:33 AM

I'll play the long game and root for Bannon now. Smuk is far more influential and therefore dangerous, so any lasting damage to his rep is welcome. Bannon is repulsive, and I don't envision people flocking to support him and his causes
