CEO tells why Democrats lost

The JPMorgan Chase CEO said November's election result was the culmination of feedback he had heard across the country, with voters tired of being "lectured" to by the current administration. In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning released over the weekend, Dimon was asked if he was surprised that Trump had won the election, to which he responded "no." "People were angry at the"what do they call it?"the state, the swamp ... ineffective government," Dimon explained. "People wanted kind of more pro-growth and pro-business policies; they didn't want to be lectured to on social policies continuously," he added. "I think it's the lecturing part of it"the social superiority, it's the 'My way or the highway.' "I traveled around the country. I felt it wherever I went."

Everyone is saying the same thing, but I dont think Democrats are listening.

Everybody's talking' at me.

I don't hear a word they're sayin'

Only echoes of my mind.

Democrats lost because a plurality of the American electorate is morally bankrupt.

It is objective fact that a sexual predator won the presidency.

To have voted for him, is morally bankrupt.

I am truly sorry that magat scum feel like being told not to vote for a rapist is "lecturing" them, but maybe, just possibly, you need educating in basic human decency.

So, yeah, there is some truth to this editorial, the "My way (not vote for a rapist) or the highway (vote for a rapist)" I stand behind that sentiment.

May you magat scum get everything you voted for.

If the right wing propaganda machine tells you what's happening, then that's what's happening, reality be damned

Yeah, I've heard that "lecturing" thing countless times now.

They never left high school. Some nasty high school where girls get raped in the bathrooms.

#5 | Posted by Zed at 2025-01-14 07:24 AM

Who cares what Jamie Dimon thinks, he has no concept of how real people live their lives. They couldn't have found a more out of touch person to ask this question to.

The Democrat party has been a sinking plague barge for several presidential cycles having less to do exclusively with sexual misconduct than pure moral bankruptcy.

When Pelosi attacked the people who publicly tracked her investments the veil was lifted slightly.

Kayakivists paddling alongside Manchin's yacht, begging to pass the legislation that also keeps pre-K funded was a horrific example of this class war. He then voted against, claiming "Right now, we've got good nutrition for children," condemning so many young people as unworthy being fed.

Biden was unable to get anything popular passed by majority, spaketh thee parliamentarian and alle thy corporate donors. His back was already riddled with stab marks, so long as he gets to smile and act dismissive about the economic reality of a failing citizenry, keeping up appearances is what matters. 10 drugs have been "regulated" by Biden and one CEO by the electorate.

So glad he's leaving after splurging another 8 billion in taxpayer wealth to finance his genocide - I'd rather fund pre-K here.

If only Citizens United were as easy to remove as a school lunch program.

Think of it this way. No one will ever have to pretend to take GOP voters seriously ever again when they talk about family values after voting for a man who has five children from three different women, paid a corn star for sex while his wife was pregnant, was convicted of 34 felonies, and was found in open court to have raped a woman, and refused to testify, pleading the fifth (which, according to him, is something that only guilty people do).

And double digit IQ.

Enough can't be said for the abject stupidity of the American electorate.

And idiots like Boaz don't see the disconnect between wanting to "fix" things while listening to people like this guy on how to "fix" things.

Meanwhile, boaz and this guy are the ones largely responsible for stuff needing to be fixed to begin with.

Americans are children. They want everything all the time.

They want free cash from the government and when that free cash triggers inflation they'll act all outraged that the policies they demanded trigger the inflation that is hurting them.

The US is not in the top 25 nations of the world in IQ scores and it shows. 50 years of Reaganomics and Faux Nooze has surrendered our intellectual authority.

Oh the Anticipation! The Speculations! The Emasculations!

Well. The foreplay has been fun.

But Monday is when the real "fun" will begin.

And by "fun" of course I mean insanity.

Buckle up buttercups. It's almost time for Mr Toads Wild Rude (version 2.0)

The biggest public spectacle, ever. Period. Half of Idaho is being bussed down to help fill the bleachers.

#13 | Posted by REDIAL at 2025-01-15 12:12 PM

idk, why Democrats lost, but my guess is its about the need to talk like this ...

Gavin Newsom: These are organized gangs of people, that are ... Forgive me for saying gangs. That's not a pejorative. These organized groups of folks

LA County Fire Chief: I ask that our unhoused neighbors not have warming fires

Americans are children. They want everything all the time.

Yup. We recently had a large winter storm that dropped some ice to start then a good amount of snow for this area.

People were pissed that the roads weren't clear and normal within two days of the event.

These are the same people who will whine that we're taxed too much and government sucks at everything it does.

Americans always want top dollar service/product for free or basement level pricing.

No rain for 250 days and 70 mph winds being the main factors.

Another post that won't age well. You are just whistling past the burn out graveyards.

Another extreme weather event (much like another mass shooting or right wing terror attack ) is coming. And you have no idea where and when it will hit.

Even insurance companies have recognized the increased costs of climate change and the effects of extreme weather events caused by it.

But here you are continuing to deny climate change has anything ri do with it. Deniers gotta deny I guess. "Deny delay and depose" until your opponent dies. Great strategy. The healthcare ceo assassin dude sure got that part right.

-You do know that there can be more than one factor, right?

Absolutely, but this site isn't the place to consider that.

Most folks have a political ax to grind which means they are predictably going to zero in on a factor that's political in nature and ignore all the other factors.

Which is the fuel for 90% of the threads here.

If someone can just scream "liberals!" or "Republicans!" or "Red State!!", etc.....then that's what they are gonna do.

These topics deserves proper scientific explanation.

Allegedly, the chemtrails are designed to create extremely flammable forests for the mobilization/eradication of population centers.

That appears to be working.

Also, weather manipulation, such as moving hurricanes is on government lease.

It's only insulting because it's true.

BTW, s&^%bag, you and your bottom of the barrel ilk aren't "the American people." You never were and you never will be.

Second BTW the Dems/"progressives" who stayed home and didn't vote are included on that list.

People who deserve to be insulted deserve to be insulted, nationality be damned. Trump belongs in prison because he's a traitor to the USA. And people who think they are patriots voted for him. I will not support that, because it's just plain wrong, and goes against what I thought this country stood for

Guys. It's boaz.

The guy who thinks he deserves respect for simply existing, no matter how much stupid s*&^ he does or says.
