Mexico has just one gun store in the entire country and issues fewer than 50 permits per year. There are thousands of gun and pawn shops on the US side of the border. An estimated half a million guns flow into Mexico annually from the US, called the "Iron River." In 2019, 17,000 Mexican citizens were murdered with guns manufactured in the US. In 2021, the Mexican govt filed a lawsuit against US gun manufacturers. For a profit, Americans are arming the dangerous Mexican drug cartels. Trumpf won't do a darned thing about the "Iron River." He'll use the police and military to deport migrants rather than check vehicles for weapons leaving the US for Mexico.
