So much of what they are taking down has to do with the progress the US military made because of WW2 and the nation facing the potential of its own systemic racism in the wake of fighting Nazi Germans and the breathtaking horrors of all that whites on whites violence.

It's especially ironically egregious to these folks since through most of our history women and minorities not only didn't get help from DEI, but had to work extra hard and long to overcome the sexism and racism of the times.

Very well could be, but given the time I'd love to know the specific order vs what they implemented and who interpreted the order.

I know it's just easier to assume the absolute worst, and it could be, but it's way more fun to just run with the assumption it seems.

They were often denigrated, treated disrespectfully by whites all their lives simply because they were Navajos.
The old code talkers it was my great privilege to know were proud, respectful men, who honored their compatriots' sacrifices.
It'll take a long walk for the US to earn back its honor after shredding it so eagerly and stupidly by disrespecting those who cleaved to Talking God.

Cutting Social Security and veterans benefits while cutting the phone systems, closing entire offices, firing majority front-line staff to create strife, confusion and resentment as people scramble for some semblance of normalcy.. which Musk insures will not be there.

For instance.

There's also the arrest of political opposition. Citizens, military, political, economic. All potential "alien enemies" and "terrorists".

One of my favorite films from when I was younger was Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai. Pure fiction, but engrossing and thought-provoking.

One of the scenes I remember most is when he encounters two racist bear hunters on a deserted, rural road. I'm not sure what their political leanings would've been nowadays had they lived, but I still can take an educated guess.

At any rate, it's only a movie.

That being said, America may start seeing real-life Ghost Dog types quite soon.

Ironically, most black Americans go back generations prior to most whites. By that logic, they are the most American. Indigenous even moreso.

So, this appears to be a whites-only world this administration wants to enforce.

First amendment will need to be abolished and police used as enforcement of that for the real fun to happen, imo.
