Absolutely! Those tax cuts for billionaires had to come from somewhere. The loss of a few hundred thousand VA jobs and the suffering it causes a few tens of millions suckers and losers noble veterans is but a small price to pay.

How does the current economy do either one of those things?

Copy/pasting Danforth's excellent response for emphasis, since you seem like one of the more reasonable commenters here who actually can be persuaded by facts.

Our tax system is bought and paid for by the wealthy for their own benefit. For instance, someone working a physically impossible 20 full time minimum wage jobs 365 days a year with no time off would be taxed at almost twice the rate at which someone living off of their inherited investments would be taxed.

Yet...how hollow will that victory be if we become our enemy in order to defeat him?

Only one way to find out. Take over all three branches of government and establish a SCOTUS majority that will last two generations to strike down everything the GOP has forced on the nation (putting into place a progressive agenda regardless of the public's will).

If it turns out not to work after 60 years, I'll take all the blame (for the people who were forced to suffer free medical care, a guaranteed minimum wage, a clean environment, social security, and standards of a civilized democracy and society, like having the right to vote).
