RFK's Proposal to Let Bird Flu Spread Through Poultry Could Set Us Up for a Pandemic, Experts Warn

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins have expressed interest in letting H5N1 outbreaks spread unchecked through U.S. poultry farms.

More

Earlier this year, US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr made a controversial suggestion as to how to tackle the problem of H5N1 bird flu: consider letting it run through poultry farms. Bad idea then, still a bad idea now, say experts. www.iflscience.com/rfk-jr-sugge ...

Well, that's one way to get rid of a lot of poor people. Then, where are they going to get their slaves?

Didn't Dummkopf Trumpf appoint the CEO of Chick-fil-A to the cabinet during his first Reign of Terror? And doesn't the Dotard like McDonald's, which serves Chicken McNuggets? Isn't there anybody in the White House yelling into Trumpf's ear-horn about stupid ideas? st.depositphotos.com

So long as egg prices stay down, I don't see a problem.

Everyone should get their flu shots as soon as possible.

Read "The Great Influenza" if you want a terrifying read. Millions died. People who appeared healthy were dead 36 hours later. Actions by the unknowing made things worse. It could happen here again ...

Go to the 1918 parts of old Cemetaries and you will find quite a cluster.

Happened to see a vid today exploring an old coal mining town in sw Wyoming where many to most of the tombstones are 1918-20 when much of the town was wiped out by the Great Flu.

#8 and 10: Years ago someone photographed and collected real, humorous headstones from all over North America. I remember one said "For the first time in my life, my wife was right, it was cancer. John Doe Born: 7/7/38 Taken: 10/24/1989."

This is the closest I could find to that album: www.pinterest.com

Kinda random, but I just finished re-watching Zeta Gundam (yes, I'm a dork), and the Titans reminded me of MAGA (corrupt xenophobic brutes, the ends justify the means, germ warfare against underling civilians), while the AEUG reminded me of progressives (humanitarians, empaths, reformers).

The connection I made here is the germ warfare.

Let's try that again. "Stupid" and "I'm with Stupid" side-by-side made me laugh and is kinda sweet, too

Ha! You just reminded me of a time shortly after my wife and I got married and bought our first house together.

She's get mad at what she thought I was thinking, about her, of course. She was wrong 100% of the time.

Anyway, a couple years after we got married, she stormed out, slamming the door to let me know how PO'd she was at what she thought I was thinking.

So, while she was driving (to the store and back as it turned out), I set up a seppuku (hari kari) altar in front of the fireplace, complete with incense, and donned a Japanese silk robe covered in kanji she'd given me for Christmas, tied the kanji-filled sash around my forehead, and waited ...

When I heard her drive in, I knelt in front of my ad hoc seppuku altar. When she walked in, I did a John Belushi samurai warrior impression with a butcher knife, as though threatening to use it on myself. She broke down in laughter and never "guessed" at what she thought I was thinking. LOL

Oh, I agree.
Serious question about scope, though:
Has any Republican ever done that, in your life?

Because to my eyes what you describe is the norm, not the exception.
