The BBC has examined trade volume data on several financial markets and matched them to some of the president's most significant market-moving statements. It found a consistent pattern of spikes just hours, or sometimes minutes, before a social media post or media interview was made public.

No way such activity can be considered part of the president's normal duties, which is the gist of the hall pass granted by SCOTUS to Der Dotard. Typical in the punishment of those convicted of insider trading is disgorgement of profits, on top of a fine. Trump will fight like hell to not give back any of his ill-gotten gains. And there is no way he didn't know of this activity, and wasn't part of the scheme...

An administration comprised of billionaire sociopaths, staffed with a gaggle of grifters and con-artists means this was an inevitability.

Trump & company knew that all it would take would be the suppression of Biden votes in 2024 by just a point or two for Trump to carry those counties, all 7 swing states and, ultimately, the election. I'm a lot more pragmatic than you're giving me credit for.

What I see from you now though is objection to discussing the weaknesses and failures of the Democratic Party.

While I do agree that in the poll booth we need to vote against republicans. I'd rather go into the poll booth wanting to vote for the democrats.

What A Friend is advocating is pragmatic voting. Both political parties suck IMO. Where A Friend seems to fail is his attempt at persuasion is over-selling the Democrat brand. I would love for a couple of other political parties to become viable in this country to broaden our choices. But the sad reality is we are a two party system. From that standpoint what he's advocating is, at the very least, support the lesser of two evils, if you view both parties as crappy (like I do). He's not advocating blind subservience, but is just operating under the flawed system that we live under. In short, he's accepted reality and seeks the best achievable outcome.

Just the names of the Democratic candidates for the various election positions (mosquito control district, water control district, fire control district, city commissioner, mayor, county/parish commissioner/executive/judge, state representative, state senate, governor, US Senate, Congressperson and... every now and then, presidential primary/election.

Now, some are partisan, some are ostensibly non-partisan (wink-wink) and some are, actually, non-partisan.

But I've never seen a primary ballot where it is designated that this candidate or that candidate is "DNC Approved."
