In this video I will take you to to the concert of Aigel, one of my favorite Russian bands. I discovered this electronic hip-hop duo a few years ago. I appreciate that besides Russian, their songs are also in Tatar, which is the language of an ethnic minority in Russia.

One of my favorite musicians is a Russian dude who goes by Kute.

It's called Phonk. Basically a strange mix of EDM, darkwave, hip-hop, and a bit of metal.

I liked.

This is a great view into the relationship of cultural evolution in Russia and the suppression of existing ethnic diversity by Putin.

In this video I'll share with you my opinion on the interview of Tucker Carlson and Vladimir Putin, how Russian media reacted to it and what this all is for...

---

Critique of recent Tucker's interview with Putin - if you want to know where our resident Kremlin troll EffettePoser gets his morning script, watch this video (length 00h:12m:46s).

What's scary, is that while a few here, for whatever reasons, buy his arguments for Putin / Russia-Ukraine (Axis-'West' proxies) war, quite a few people here agree with most other aspects of these scripts.

In America some of our best music came from protests about racial discrimination, war poverty, struggle against authority. Can Russian artists dare to take on subjects like that in a dictatorship ;ike Russia? When I read the casualty numbers from Putin's war in Ukraine I think it is only natural that we think about the reaction if we were facing such horrors and it does make me realize how important our freedom is and how vigilant we need to be of any threat to that freedom. I honestly don't understand any American that would not react angrily towards any politician who ever threatened that freedom nor any politician who approves of any repressive dictator in any other nation

WTH? I just watched this video earlier today.

That means Corky and I have similar algorithms.

I was once involved with a Tatar woman from Tolyatti (a city south of Tatarstan on the Volga River). Not exactly what many here would think of as a typical Russian, since she was a Moslem of Kazakh descent who also lived in Egypt for a few years. Unfortunately, our paths diverged, but fortunately she ended up with some guy from Switzerland and is living happily there.

It really gave me some insight into how many Russians have a complex and nuanced view, still wanting to love and have pride in their country, but knowing how dangerous its government is to individual freedom.

Not to worry; I've subbed her channel for years, way before the invasion and her leaving Russia.

It's been an eye-opening cultural trip.

Now, if you start watching Inside Russia, we may have a problem.
